The Hero In Me - Vigilante Deku

Chapter 10

        Izuku was very happy that Hitoshi was now living with him, and the two guardians haven't said a word to the police or the foster system. Izuku did walk his friend to school since he had nothing to do in the morning, then he went to his fighting classes. Izuku was content with his life at this point.

August was almost over and September was almost here, Izuku and Hitoshi were officially 13 and it was weird being an official teenager, but Hitoshi had a little growth spurt while Izuku was stuck at 5'5, he had a tiny growth spurt but Hitoshi was now 5'7 and Izuku was not happy. Though Izuku was sure he would have a growth spurt sometime soon. Though Izuku's height hasn't stopped Hitoshi from making fun of him, he keeps calling him shorty and Izuku doesn't have the heart to really stop him.

Izuku was already doing Aikido, but he also signed up for karate. Izuku still trains Hitoshi in Aikido moves, but soon he's going to add some karate, though Izuku has already added some moves in their training and Toshi has yet to notice.

Patrols are the same, Hitoshi only comes on his patrols only 2 times a week, whenever Izuku sees Eraser from a distance they leave quickly and hide in an alleyway. Sometimes they laugh quietly when Eraser is on the roof above them, and he didn't suspect a thing.

For some reason, Izuku likes to mess with Eraser and the detective but when other heroes have seen him and try to hunt him down he just runs away. Maybe this is due to the fact that Izuku has respect for the man but who knows at this point.

Hitoshi has moved his stuff to the room next to Izuku's in his home, it was a guest bedroom anyway so he took it up, he decorated the room with all the merch that Izuku has bought him for his birthdays, and even though he didn't show it Hitoshi really liked the gifts. Izuku knew about his insomnia but he didn't think it was all that bad.

Boy was he wrong.

Several nights in a row when Izuku is working before patrol or when he gets back he notices that Hitoshi is up, his door is always open but there are times when he closes it and Izuku doesn't mind, he gives him his privacy. Though he wonders if Hitoshi even gets sleep, he's always up pretty late and Izuku is worried about his health, though he will step in if Hitoshi gets too tired.

Even though Izuku is worried about his health when it comes to his sleeping habits, Izuku and Hitoshi have a great plan to mess with Eraser. They've been planning for weeks and it's time to act.

"You ready to go Siren?" Izuku was dressed in his outfit and Hitoshi was finishing up. The project that Izuku was working on for Hitoshi is still in the works and needs to be tested but luckily Machi is helping out with this project.

"Yeah, let's go" Hitoshi looked fired up. Izuku was excited, he opened the window and Hitoshi climbed to the roof first then Izuku after making sure the window was secured. Once on the roof, Izuku took a deep breath, the night air was cool unlike the humid heat from earlier today, the moon was out and the night sky was slowly filling with stars. He looked toward Hitoshi and nodded, then they were off toward Sector 16.

Shouta was beginning to get tired of trying to look for the stupid Rabbit. He's been avoiding him for some reason and he hasn't even seen his partner yet and at this point, he thinks he won't. Rabbit seems to be keeping his friend out of the media and out of harm's way most of the time. Some nights he thinks he sees Rabbit and his partner from a distance and when he checks it out there's no one.

Though he has heard laughter near him sometimes and he isn't sure if that's the someone out late at night or his own mind playing tricks on him for not getting enough sleep. Shouta blames the lack of sleep, at least until he confirms that it's actually someone.
