Chapter 068: Fire Away

"THAT'S IT. MY secretary will let you know if we have additional guests to arrive." I gave my final words na before dismissing the meeting.

"Okay." Hannah and her team nodded. Nagsitayuan na sila and fixed their stuff before leaving.

I've waited for them na lahat sila ay makalabas ng conference room before I pick up my phone and dialed Katherine's number.

It took a few rings bago niya nasagot ang tawag ko.

"Deej, nandito pa ako sa mansion."

"Ohh, alright. I'll call you back."

"Ay sandali, sandali. May good news ako sa'yo!"

"Ano yun???"

"Mukhang bati na si Snow at si Storm."

Napangiti ako. "Buti naman. Okay, bye—" I frowned when she cuts me off.

"Ay Deej, wait lang. Sandali lang. May isa pa!"

"What?"

"Ahm. Ano kasi eh, nag-usap kami ni Summer..."

"And?"

"Tapos ano. Ahm, sabi niya na sana ako na lang daw yung girlfriend mo." Then it was followed by her sweet laugh.

"Really?"

"Really na really!"

Natigilan ako when Hannah enters the conference room without knocking. Natignan ko tuloy yung ongoing call ko. I'm pretty sure that Katherine heard her.

"Sino yun?"

"She's our event organizer for the launch." I explained. Inalis ko ang tingin ko kay Hannah and focus my attention on Katherine first.

"Hmm mmm. Eh bakit ka niya inaayang kumain?"

"What?" I asked her back at saka ako napatingin kay Hannah. She's still standing at the doorway, the door is halfway open.

"Siguro crush ka niya nooo?"

I didn't bother looking at Hannah again. "Huh?" I asked puzzly. Bahagya ko pa ngang naikiling ang ulo ko when I didn't follow the flow of our conversation.

"Ang swerte-swerte ko talaga!"

"And why is that?"

"Eh kasi, ang gwapo ng boyfriend ko. Certified heart rob!"

Napahigot ako ng hininga sa sinabi niya. "Ahm. She's a friend of Amanda."

"Huh? Kaibigan siya ni Attorney A?!"

"Yes, and you've met her. Siya yung nasa restaurant na kasama ni A."

"Ahhh! Naalala ko na siyaaa. Siya yung babaeng malagkit kung makatingin sa'yo!"

Nanlaki ang mata ko. "I don't know. I wasn't looking at her. I was looking at you!"

"Awww! Ikaw talaga. Heart rob ka talaga! Tignan mo, mukhang sinundan ka pa talaga riyan."

Napangisi ako. "Stop it. You silly."

"Uyyy, Deej! HAHAHA!"

I smiled flatly. "Katherine."
