Chapter Fourteen

What were those weird feelings?

Jeongin's thoughts have been occupied with these weird feelings all through the trio's time in the art room.

Jeongin sighed. Why was he thinking about this so much?

It was literally nothing.

Their faces were close to each other for literally only a few seconds, no big deal.

But why couldn't he stop thinking about it?

Jeongin huffed as he opened the door to his room, stopping as he took in the scene in the room.

Minho and Chan were hugging each other.

Jeongin chuckled at the pair who now looked at him like a deer in headlights. "Did I interrupt something?"

Minho shook his head, chuckling nervously. "Uh... no(?), not really. Is free time over?"

Jeongin slowly nodded. "Kind of. Dinner time is going to start really soon. In like five minutes."

Minho raised his eyebrows, unwrapping his arms from Chan's body. "Oh shoot! I need to get something real quick."

Minho looked like he was contemplating something for a few seconds before he placed the shortest kiss on Chan's cheek. "I'll see you in a few minutes, Channie." 

Chan watched Minho run out of the room. Jeongin chuckled looking at Chan's now blushing face. "Are you two together?"

Chan stuttered. "Uh... no, we're not, totally not...heh."

Jeongin raised an eyebrow. "Oh really? Well if you were, you'd be really cute together."

Chan played with his fingers. "Well, we.... uh ack... I mean, we are... no we're not... okay, fine we are but, d-don't tell anyone! I don't think... relationships are allowed here."

Jeongin smiled. "Yeah, of course. Your secret is safe with me."

Chan returned Jeongin's smile. "Oh, th-thank you. I don't want to be... split up. Minho is... very cool... I like him quite a lot. He makes me feel very happy. I like him a lot- Oh wait, I already said that, uh... but Minho, he is just... a-amazing. Whenever I see him I get butterflies, because I like him so much. I... like him... a lot."

Jeongin listened intensely, one thing in particular peaking his attention. "Butterflies?"

Chan's eyes widened. "Oh! Uh... it's an analogy, no no that's the wrong word... it's a metaphor, yeah... that's the word. I'm sorry... you might've not heard of that before, the butterflies, so you... p-probably thought I was really... weird. It's not literal. Metaphor."

Jeongin shook his head. "No, no, I know what it means, just... you get butterflies... because you like him?"

Chan nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, yeah. Whenever I see him or whenever he's close he makes me feel... nervous(?) But not, nervous like nervous nervous, if that makes any sense..., ha, no it doesn't but I'll continue, he makes me feel happy and uh... good inside and... well yeah. He gives me butterflies."

Jeongin processed what Chan was saying. He got butterflies because he liked Minho.

That's when one of the weirdest thoughts crossed Jeongin's mind.

Did he like Seungmin romantically?

Jeongin couldn't deny that he liked Seungmin as a friend. He loved how Seungmin always put so much thought into his art, and how creative he was. His art was really inspiring. Jeongin also couldn't deny that Seungmin was good looking. Seungmin's puppy-like face was a piece of art in itself. All in all, he really liked being with him.

Jeongin shook the thoughts out of his head, looking back at Chan. "How'd you know you like him?"

Chan looked around the room. "Uh, well... I guess... because I like being around him(?) We met... really early... I mean early in terms of me when I got admitted here... obviously, well I mean that's not necessarily obvious, but... we were friends and we just liked being together and we just... helped each other a lot. I-I... appreciate him a lot... and I'm pretty sure he does a-appreciate me too. O-our feelings just... grew over time, I guess. I-I like him and he... likes me and I never could be any happier, he's so helpful and I... I think I l-love him."

Jeongin couldn't help but smile. Chan's description of him and Minho honestly sounded so cute. You could tell the he really, truly loved Minho. "I see. Thank you, Chan."

"Oh. N-no problem."

Jeongin nodded, going back to his thoughts. What Chan said about Minho also interested to him. Could this be the same case with him Seungmin?

Could it be possible that he liked Seungmin romantically?
