Chapter 3

"I don't get it, Tikki." Said Marinette talking to Tikki on her way to school, this time making sure she had put her hair up in her signature pigtails.

Marinette was exhausted because she had got little to no sleep last night. She had been tossing and turning all night thinking about the mess she had got herself into. She knew that no matter what choice she made, she was bound to break someone's heart.

"What, Marinette?" Tikki asked from inside her bag.

"How I c-" She began but was cut off by the loud bang of a car door.

"Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous! How dare you not invite my Adrikins to my party! You're fired!" Chloé screamed walking into the school.

"We'll have to be extra careful today. Someone might get Akumatised." Tikki grumbled.

"Or she could make our day horrible as hell." Marinette sighed.

Marinette walked into the school and sat beside Alya, behind her sweet Adrien.

"Hey, Mari-trash! Don't have anything else to wear other than those garbage clothes?" Shouted Chloé.

"Here we go..." Marinette muttered.

"Chl-" Began Adrien.

"Oh shush, Adrikins. She's just a nobody. You don't have to bother."

Marinette just sat there trying to control her feelings.

"Don't you have any other place to stick your face into rather than here?"

"What would happen to Paris if Ladybug got Akumatised? Calm down, Marinette. She's just stupid. What would Chat think?" Marinette whispered to herself.

"You're utter trash!"

"Alright. That's it! You know what, Chloé? There's a reason why Sabrina is your only friend. Heck, she won't even be here if you weren't buying her with your 'gifts'. So, get lost!" Marinette shouted slamming her hands on the desk.

"What?" Asked Chloé surprised.

"Oh no. I'm so sorry, Chloé. I didn't mean any of that."

"What have I done?!" Marinette gasped.

"Girl. It-" Alya started.

"I have to go!" Marinette cried grabbing her bag and running towards the washroom.

"Tikki! I'm the worst Ladybug in the history of all your Miraculous holders! I'm so not cut out for this whole Ladybug thing! I'm sorry for being such an embarrassment." Cried Marinette collapsing on the bathroom floor and burying her head in her knees.

"Marinette. List- Look out!" Tikki yelled.

Marinette lifted her head to see a purple butterfly flying towards her.

"Aah! An Akuma!" She shouted scrambling to her feet and pushing up against the bathroom wall.

"You can resist it, Marinette. Hawk Moth's power only affects people who think there's no solution to their problems, and you always find a solution." Tikki tried her best to boost Marinette's confidence and it actually worked.

"You're right! You won't get me, Akuma. I'm proud, I'm confident, I'm Marinette!" Marinette shouted watching the Akuma fly away.

"We can't let this Akuma run loose. Come on, Tikki! Tikki, Spots on!"

Now as Ladybug, Marinette ran all around the school looking for that nasty bug.

Meanwhile, in class, Adrien slowly slipped out of the door nodding at Nino and Alya and glaring at his 'friend' Chloé. The blonde sat completely taken aback by Marinette's outburst and everyone's glares on her.
