Karl gave a sigh of relief as he climbed into be next to Nick. He instantly relaxed, snuggling into the sheets.
"You tired, Karl?" Nick said, looking away from the phone in his hands to see the older boy. Karl gave a soft hum, looking back at his lover with hooded eyes.
Nick smiled softly, putting down his phone. He carefully moved Karl so he was laying on his chest. Karl was surprised by these movements but didn't object.
He nuzzled in to Nicks shirt, taking in his smell. He could feel his breathing, and Karl slowly went in sync with it. They tangled there legs, getting as close as possible.
Nick moved his hand to play with the others boys hair, it was still slightly damp but soft all the same.
Karl couldn't help but give a content hum as the younger massaged his scalp. Nick smiled, loving this. The way the light from the lamp illuminated Karl's soft features, how he was wearing a hoodie that belonged to Nick, and the way he would nuzzle into the Nicks shirt.
The younger let his free hand follow up and down the curves of Karl's sides before coming to a stop at his hips, his thumb rubbing soft circles.
"I love you," Karl spoke, his eyelids becoming heaver.
I love you too," Nick gently placed a small kiss on Karl's hair line.
They fell asleep, safe in each other's presence.
