A torrent of flames

Consumed by hate

A calming wind

Blowing into the abyss

Imagery alone cannot describe

This feeling that wells up inside me

Damaged, alone, scared and helpless

A tragic end to the beginning of something

No one knew was coming

Tears stain the blood red veins

Of my own passion dying

For love cannot save this tragic beginning

The enjoyment of a sport, can only be fulfilled

By the endless hours of getting lost within passion

Something so fragile, broken between the fingers of fate

Is it worth losing a few healthy, able bodies

Or would we get a vote in the matter

Like a rug upon unstable ground

We cannot fight a force whose strategy is to infect the helpless

It seems to matter not of those who it affects

But to those who are likely to be sick

The darkest days are still ahead of us

Will it ever end, will life be normal

Will the mainstream idiocy destroy us

To dream of a better world

Is that so hard to achieve

I think it's time to move on

From this dark abyss my mind stands on

This pillar is crumbling from untouched hands

Maybe it would be easier to fall victim to it

Once again shutting down and flowing with the wind

Or will this be a new happy ending

Darker times await

You thought this would be a darker tale

About how you can get through the toughest times

With nothing but a smile and a passion

Sometimes happy endings never happen

However, you can either dwell upon the past

Or look for a brighter future

Darkness always comes, but so does the brightest day

So, why not surprise tomorrow with a smile?
