The Avengers, His little Monster

Ch. 15 "Animal, Inside"

                                                          Lilly POV 

It has been a few days since I woke up, Daddy tells me I can't leave the bed just yet, he's been listening to my head with a weird object, 

I was currently sitting on the edge of the bed as my feet dangled, 

Daddy listened to my heart, with is eyebrows scrunched, 

He took the thing away from my chest, and looked at his watch and smiled, 

"What is that thing?" I said 

"Oh this it is a stethoscope, it lets me hear your heart beat, here," Daddy said 

He put the thing in my ears and the round part against his heart, 

Thump, Thump, 

I hear his heart, 

I look at him in amazement, and he smiles, 

"Pretty amazing isn't it," He said taking it from me, 

I nodded and smiled,

"Am I allowed to leave the bed now?" I asked 

"Not yet sweetheart, you need to rest a little longer," Daddy said 

"Besides I wanted to ask you, about what happened when we were being attacked, and after everything was over, why you were in full out attack mode?" Daddy said 

I tilted my head not understanding, 

He chuckled, 

"I mean why were you still ready to attack?" daddy said 

"When I was hurt," I said 

"You see it's not just me inside my head, I have.... well I call her my animal," I said innocently 

"Your animal?" daddy said 

I nodded, 

"She protects me, she's the one who protected me, when I first found you," I said 

"Okay I see," Daddy said 

"And sometimes when I get hurt I lose control and she takes over, that's why my eyes turn red," I said sadly 

"I didn't mean to scare anyone," I said sadly looking down, 

"Hey, it's alright," daddy said making me look at him as he hooked his fingers under my chin, 

"You never scared us, I know what it's like to lose control," Daddy said 

"You do?" I asked 

He nodded smiling down at me, 

                                                Bruce POV 

Poor Lilly, she's pretty much in the same boat as me except with an animal that is less predictable, I thought 

I guess that is why the big guy inside of me is so attached to her, 

I feel this need to protect her come off of him all the time, even when we lost control in the Hellacarrier, 

That's why he told her to run and hide, 

At least I know if I do lose control He will be there to keep her safe as am I, I will always be here to keep her safe and protect her, I thought
