Strawberries and Cigarettes (Camren AU)

Chapter IX

"Have a safe trip you two!" Sinuhe yelled as she waved goodbye to Camila and Lauren.

"I love you mom!" Camila said as she waved back. The brunette entered the car closing the door and placing her bag on the backseat.

"You look stunning." Lauren smiled as glanced over at Camila, who was wearing a skirt and some black crop top.

"Thank you." Camila smiled as she put on her seat belt before Lauren drove off. The sun was still beaming with it's blinding rays, they needed to go to Santa Monica earlier than usual since it was a 55-minute drive. Camila took a glance at Lauren and couldn't help but smile at she sight. Lauren was wearing her black and gray varsity jacket, a white stripped shirt, paired with a black jeans and some converse.

"Take a picture, It'll last longer." Lauren winked as her lips curve up into a smile with her eyes focused on the road. Camila then took her phone out and snapped a picture of Lauren.

"Delete that Camz." Lauren laughed as Camila grinned while looking at the picture.

"Nah, it'll last longer." Camila teased as she looked at Lauren's phone, that was ringing.

"Could you answer that for me?" Lauren smiled as she looked at the caller. Camila picked the phone up, reading the caller ID before accepting the call.

"Hehehey Jaure-mila?" Vero said startled as she saw Camila answer her video call, Camila waved her hand and pointed the camera towards Lauren.

"Hi! She's here."

"Hello Jauregay." Vero teased as she see Lauren shaking her head and smiling while driving. Vero couldn't help but notice the permanent smile plastered on Lauren's face as they talked.

"You're glowing with happiness."

"No I'm not."

"Keana's gonna be so heart broken when she finds out your dating her precious HMart Beauty."

"You mean MY Camila?" Lauren corrected smiling and glancing at Camila who was trying to hide her blush.

"You're already claiming Camila? How certain are you that Mila wants your stubborn ass?"

"Eh, she's not that stubborn anymore so it's all good." Camila replied as she faced Vero.

"Wait what?!"

"You heard her Veronica." Lauren laughed.

"Fights?"

"Nope."

"Mood swings?"

"No."

"Patience level?"

"I'd say..Average." Camila chuckled as she looked at Lauren who was pouting.

"Who knew all Lauren needed was a Camila?"

"Fate knew it." Lauren chuckled.

"Hey Keana, guess what?"

"What?"

"CamRen is real."

"Oh my gosh." Lauren laughed as they heard Keana yell before the call ended.

"I swear Keana has a huge crush on you." Lauren shyly said.

"It's fine. I heard that her friend Lauren likes me." Camila teased.

"Oh yeah?"

"Yup. Don't tell her, but I like her too. If you tell her she'll clutch her chest and say butterflies again." Camila teased as she looked down at Lauren's phone.
