Dewin cast his special spell and the room was transformed into a vortex of debris, rock and dust spinning violently. Lightning soon began to flash, striking the ice monster over and over. The flashes encased the beast, making it glow as bright as a star.
The noise was deafening.
Suddenly the light began to expand, the heat from it radiating exponentially. But then, the ice monster collapsed in on itself and vanished without a trace, the vortex instantly stopping.
'Hopefully that was not overkill,' said Dewin, moving his now messy hair from his vision and readjusting his robe once again. 'But . . . on we go.'
Dewin walked to the other side and stared at the two doors the ice monster had been guarding. 'Which one to take?'
