The Father who Provides

Perhaps you feel lonely inside
I want to tell you of the Father who will provide
Don't believe the lies
And be hardened by pride
The humble and silent will rise
Those who lose to Him will gain
The grain of wheat must die
For those who lose will find life
This is our amazing God and Savior
The Father who will provide

Please help me Daddy through this loneliness
I remove the veil before You and others
And confess my weakness before my brothers
I remove the sunglasses of pretense
The trial is intense; I won't resent
All the things You are putting me through
Knowing that this night of mourning
Will be over soon
And Your loving, sovereign plan will shine
Fuller and brighter as the noon day
Lead me in Your ways
Teach me how to pray
I lean on You, through this evening gray
I almost feel barely alive
But I remember and declare
You are the Father who provides

I wanna hear Your voice
Belief and faith is my choice
So I choose to loose my preconceived conceptions
We need Your protection
We need Your blessing
We're wrestling every day with the Flesh
We want to be enmeshed with Your joy
To employ and testify of Your glory
But those seasons seem over now
Somehow, this seed You planted, You will grow
And Your loving plan and promised pleasures
You will show
I know this
I hear it from Your Spirit, inside
Though autumn is here, I know I'm alive
Because of the truth that You are the Father
Who will provide

My treads are worn
My future, forlorn
Relationships torn
Old friendships shorn
I have a job and I need fuel to get me there
So what can I do but turn to You in prayer?
I have future plans, they are all laid out
My path is clear and I know my route
But I must yield these all lest I fall
And I bang up hard against the wall
Despair and go rock bottom
Best I don't go there
So I kneel in prayer
I give up my life and shun these lies
And I ask Your truth to daily shine
I hold onto You Father, who will provide
My bank and wallet are starting to feel empty
Yet my cup overflows; I have plenty
I resent to covet and greed
You provide for all my needs
And yet I plead that You would look and see
And help me through this life I lead
In Christ I have inherited all things
Pertaining to life and godliness
You would not have given this son this life
Unless You were the Father God who provides
