Satyavati's birth was typically by a fish and it happened like this-

And of course not to forget her married life-

sᴀᴛʜʏᴀᴠᴀᴛɪ ᴡᴀs ᴀ ʙᴇᴀᴜᴛɪғᴜʟ ᴍᴀɪᴅᴇɴ ʏᴇᴛ ᴀ ғɪsʜᴇʀᴡᴏᴍᴀɴ, ʙᴜᴛ sʜᴀɴᴛᴀɴᴜ ғᴇʟʟ ɪɴ ʟᴏᴠᴇ ᴡɪᴛʜ ʜᴇʀ ᴀɴᴅ sʜᴇ ɢᴏᴛ ᴍᴀʀʀɪᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ʜɪᴍ, ᴀɴᴅ ɢᴀᴠᴇ ʙɪʀᴛʜ ᴛᴏ 2 ᴋɪᴅs ᴀs sᴀɪᴅ- ᴄʜɪᴛʀᴀɴɢᴀᴅᴀ ᴀɴᴅ ᴠɪᴄʜɪᴛʀᴀᴠᴇʀʏᴀ. Wʜᴇɴ sʜᴇ ᴡᴀs ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴊᴜɴɢʟᴇ sʜᴇ ᴍᴀʀʀɪᴇᴅ ᴀ sᴀɪɴᴛ ᴀɴᴅ ɢᴀᴠᴇ ʙɪʀᴛʜ ᴛᴏ ᴠʏᴀsᴀ ᴀ ɢʀᴇᴀᴛ ʀɪsʜɪ.

ɴᴏᴡ ᴛʜᴀᴛ the children were born Sathyavati was happy but her happiness didnt last long.Chitrangada was ruling after the death of his father-Shantanu but luck wasn't with him and he was killed by a Gandharva, and also he left no heir to the throne. Vichitraverya the second son was not at all a brave king, and so Bheesma ruled on behalf of him and he himself went to a Swaymvar to get brides for Vichitraverya and he fought and ran with the brides AMBA,AMBIKA,AND AMBALIKA..........

When they reached Hastinapur, they got to know that Amba was engaged to someone who loved and admired her and on sayings on Amba bheesma let her go. But as she reached him he said- "I will not marry a woman who is touched or kidnapped by another man" and on hearing this Amba was depressed and went back to bheesma but bheesma said go and try again. She returned but her attempts were useless and so she asked bheesma to marry her but he didn't break the pratigya and on this AMBA raged with anger and went to Lord Shiva who Said- "Dont worry my child u will be the reason of the death of Bhisma.....

And then Vichitraverya died on his wedding night, Again leaving no heir to the throne and so Satyavathi planned something to get an heir to the throne.....
