After Yudhistira got Indraprasth, he decided to do the Rajsuyi Yagya, but was worried for the horse, if someone stopped him then? He didnt want that, and so he seekes Vasudev's (CalmGuy9 's) Advice and he said- "No one but Jaradandha - the most powerful ruler will surely stop the horse" . No one can defeat him in a battle, he has to be defeated in a hand-to hand combat. Bheem agreed to this, everyone offended, but he said yes. They disguised themselves as Brahmins and set off.
On the way, Vasudev told them all about Jarasandha's birth. Once, a king, who bore no son, sadly went to a sage and described him the problem. He then gave him a mango but before he could tell that he had two twin wives, he went back to meditation, and so he cut the mango in half and so his wives bore each son half.
They left the halves, near a trash bin and went away. But then a demoness named Jara came from the smell of meat but saw babies and joint them. There was a loud baby cry and the king and the queens came running, took the baby and named him Jarasandha according to the name of JARA. She blessed him and said- "U will be Immortal".
He was taken to the same sage, who gave birth to him and as a blessing the sage said-
" U will be the lords of lords"......
