Drupad was happy at his kingdom and invited Drona. He could not visit him because of his studies. He married the sister of kripacharya. She soon gave birth to a boy Aswathama. Until then, Drona had no wish for luxuries but after his son was born, he thought of his poverty and thought if he goes to hai buddie, Drupad he will help him and his son with his royal luxuries.
With all hopes, Drona went to Panchal but as time changes, person changes, and so did Drupad. As and when he saw Drona in a loin cloth and rudraksh all over, he denied their friendship at once....
"You aren't my friend, kings are only friends with kings, who have the standard and the royal rank. If u are looking for alms, go to the royal warehouse, they are giving rice to beggars"....
Hearing this Drona was hurt. He thought that Drupad forgot of their friendship and so he reminded of it all to him but he denied and kicked him out of the palace.
Drona with his family left Panchal, and went to Hastinapur. He started teaching the kids, but his bitterness towards Drupad remained. He told the Kauravas- "March towards Panchal, defeat Drupad and capture him alive". They all went at once but got defeated. Then he sent the Pandavas to do the same and they were Victorious. Then Drona said-
*So Panchalraj how are u? I just want to say that now u have to gimme half of ur kingdom,well then we be of the same standard and be friends* He said Duryodhana to go with him after he is released......
