As I approached the shore of the Black Lake I found that Riddle was already sitting, facing the gloomy lake. He did not react to my approaching footsteps, instead, he stared out at the lake with his finger tracing the ring on his finger.

"Clarisse was asking questions," I explained while taking a seat beside him. He did not look in my direction nor acknowledge my presence. He simply stared out at the lake, deep in his thoughts.

"What did you say?" He asked curiously, this time his eyes meeting mine. It was strange how something as silly as a vision had changed the way he spoke to me although I assumed it was because I practically had a psychotic breakdown in front of him the night before.

"I told her to fuck off," I said quickly, bringing my gaze back to the lake.

There was an eerie silence between us as we watched the still lake. My thoughts were running rapidly at the thought of the night before. How could I have been so stupid to let him see me in such a weak state of mind? Why was he so interested in seeing the vision I had?

After a few more minutes of silence, I finally spoke up. "It's rather impossible to see what I have seen."

"Have you heard of Legilimency?" He asked curiously. I flinched slightly, quickly snapping my head in his direction. He was insane as I was to believe he was going to use Legilimency on me.

"Of course I have heard of Legilimency. I doubt anyone in our year has mastered it," I hesitated as I spoke. Riddle most certainly would be the one to have mastered such a complex skill and not mention it whatsoever.

"I have,"

I tensed up slightly at the thought of Riddle being so skilled as a wizard that he had mastered such a complex skill. It was unsettling to imagine someone as cynical as Riddle with the ability to manipulate the mind. Not to mention the fact that it was my own mind he wished to manipulate.

"Of course you have," I said beneath my breath continuing to fiddle with the hem of my clothing. Part of me wanted so desperately to keep my mind protected and intimate with myself. The other part of me simply wanted to give in and let Riddle see whatever he wished.

"It's quite difficult," He admitted avoiding the issue at stake. Riddle wanted to rip through the layers of my mind to find answers to whatever secrets he was hiding. Yet somehow he managed to avoid the subject.

"Quite frankly, Riddle, it was one thing to tell you about the vision. You are implying that you want to invade my mind. Bloody hell you haven't even told me what the Chamber of Secrets is, yet you expect me to-," Riddle looked behind us quickly and then back to my face. He was most likely making sure there was no one around.

"You are a difficult person, you know that?" Riddle teased. I couldn't tell whether that was an insult or compliment.

I brought my knees to my chest before scoffing at his comment. I barely knew anything about the boy beside me, yet part of me wanted to give into him.

"If I let you," I began after many minutes of reviewing what was at stake, "I want you to answer whatever I ask. Anything I ask. You're hiding something and I want to know what it is."

Curiosity was getting the better of me, I knew that, but at this moment all I cared about was whatever Riddle was hiding.

"That only seems fair," He said. I hadn't expected him to agree so easily. How desperate was he? Why was he so interested in the Chamber of Secrets?

"What is the spell?" I asked curiously, turning my body to face him instead of sitting parallel to him.

"I do not need a want to enter your mind,"

My stomach dropped at his words and the thought of him being so skilled with Legilimency that he was able to perform it wandless.

"That's impossible. Some of the most powerful wizards are unable to perform Legilimency wandless-," I began, although I did not doubt Riddle for a second.

"Then they must not be powerful wizards, now are they Myra?"

I tapped the side of my thigh anxiously at the thought of Riddle (a fifth-year) being more advanced than some of the most powerful wizards in the Wizarding World. Nonetheless, I knew this was an opportunity I did not want to miss.

"Well-," I hesitated, looking back up at Riddle, "Let's get this over with."
