Chapter 16

The car ride home was almost silent. The silence gave me an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach. I wanted to jump out of the car door and run away. "I can't believe you saved those kids. About time you became useful." Believe it not that's the only time she gave me a decent compliment. The ride went back to silence and soon we were in the driveway to our apartment building. I stepped through the doors first ready to race to my room till the sound of my mother's voice stopped me in my tracks. "So,what did they find out at doctors?" My heart dropped when she mentioned  the doctor visit. "Well the doctor said the found fractures and some bruises but I told them it was from trai..." SMACK!! A hand went directly across my face. "You stupid bitch! Do you know what's going to happen now that they have evidence! They are gonna be on my ass now!" I stood their holding my face trying to not let tears fall down from my eyes. Mother grabbed a cigarette from her purse to light it so she can have a smoke. "Who are you?" I asked with my eyes down letting my arm fall back in place along my side. "Ehh, what are you talking about? I'm your mother of course." I looked up at her with rage in my eyes. She stood slightly surprised but quickly wiped it off her face. "I remember, that night when dad left. You guys had an argument right?" I could feel anger radiating off of her. "Who are you?" I asked again. "I don't know who you think you are that you can come at me like that but I won't stand for it you little brat!" She raised her hand ready to strike at me again. This time however won't be like the other times. Before she could make contact with me I used my shadow vines and grabbed her wrist. "Tell me now!" At this point my anger was starting to grow. A sinister laugh came from the women in front of me. She grabbed me by my hair and throw me back making me release my quirk. "You're father and your real mom are nothing but a bunch of whores and cheats! You want to know what happened! Your father got some random girl pregnant one night and she couldn't take her it so your lovely hero father decided to take you in but I wanted no part of it." I was in shock of that my dad would cheat I didn't want to believe it. "Your father told me to pretend to be your mother so you could have a normal life! But I told him she should've gave you up for adoption. Every time I look at you I can see nothing but that whore you couldn't take responsibility for your action. Then when your father left on a secret mission and left you behind and I had an idea. Why not take my anger out on you. I mean it's not like your my kid anyways. So all that training I made you do wasn't just to make you a hero. I wanted to see you suffer!" Her life became louder and louder and she looked at me with malice in her eyes. "What are you going to do now that you know the truth?" I was honestly at a lost for words. I didn't know what emotions I should feel. I was angry that my dad left me alone with a woman that didn't even want me but also relieved that she isn't my mom and that my real mom is out there somewhere. I took deep breath and stood up from the floor. I looked over to her and smiled. She was confused by my actions but that was ok. "Thank you. Because of your treatment I became strong and I also learned why I want to be a hero." She was about to walk over to hit me again but I familiar scarf wrapped around her arms and torso. "That's enough, I'm placing you under arrest. You're no longer going to put your hands on my student." Mr. Aizawa came through the door. "(Y/n)! Are you ok?!" Eijiro came running over to me looking relieved that it was finally over. Eijiro gently took my chin and turned it slightly to she where I was hit at. "You bitch how long were they hear for?!" "Long enough to hear everything. Now lets go." Mr Aizawa dragged her out of the apartment while she was screaming trying to claim her innocence. Eijiro picked me up bridal style and carried me outside where Hawks, Bakugo, Todoroki, and a few cops were standing around talking. I never thought that I would see the day that I would get my freedom. Eijiro put me on ground so that I could stand on my own. I felt proud that I was able to do this with the help of my new friends. "So is everything over with?" Eijiro asked. "Not yet. I want to find my real mom. But first, I need to talk to my dad." Eijiro nodded his head and took my hand into his own and smiled down at me. "You know... Your hoing to need a place to stay and we have plenty of space at my house." I body filled with joy at the thought of moving in with Eijiro. It won't be for long though just until my dad gets back or we find my mom. "Before we get into that we need to bring (l/n) down to the station." Hawks came over to the two of us. And nod my head and went with Hawks so I can fill out my statement. "Hey Hawks, you work close with the hero commission right?" Hawks looked down at me but I didn't look back. "Yeah, why what's up?" "My dad is the pro hero Psychic and he's on a secret mission. I was wondering if there is a way I can contact him?" Hawks scratched at his head trying to figure out if I can or not. "Well if he's on a secret mission then it's pretty hard to make contact the only way that women was able too was because she was a significant other and  there are special procedures to make contact so we don't jeopardize the mission. But given the situation I'll talk to the hero commission." Hawks pat my head and gave me a reassuring smile. After I was done being questioned by the police, I stood outside of the station and waited for Eijiro to come pick me up. I decided to play my favorite game on my phone. A tap on my shoulder made me whip around to see who it was. When I turned around there was a smiling Eijiro staring down at me. "Did I scare ya?" I let out a sigh of relief knowing it was Eijiro. "You scared me a little bit." Me and Eijiro laughed about it for a bit before we decided to walk to his house where I will be staying. We were hand in hand walking down the streets, laughing along the way. Honestly this is the happiest I've ever been. I can finally be myself and live a normal life. We made it to Eijiro's house  and went up stairs. I didn't have any of my clothes yet so Eijiro gave me a shirt and a pair of gym shorts from his dresser for me to put on. I was to tired to take a shower so I went into his bathroom to changed and washed me face real quick. I'll just take a shower in the morning. When I walked back into the room Eijiro had on a pair of joggers with no shirt. I never realized this before but Eijiro has a really great build. I looked away before Eijiro could catch me staring. "Does it still hurt?" Eijiro's voice made me look to him. I was confused on what he meant when I see him touvh his cheek which reminded me of where I got hit. "It hurts a little bit but it's nothing serious." I could tell Eijiro didn't like my answer but he didn't press into it. Instead he came up to me and gently grabbed my chin so that he could get a better look. When Eijiro went to rub his thumb over my cheek, I winced slightly at the stinging sensation. "It's a bit bruised and swollen. I'm going to get some ice from the kitchen. Make yourself comfy." Eijiro kissed my forehead before leaving the room to get some ice. His room still loomed the same from the last time I stayed over so it was pretty easy for me to get comfortable. When Eijiro came back into the room he had a plastic bag with ice wrapped in a towel. He walked over to the bed and sat down before motioning me to come sit down with him. I was about to sit on the bed but Eijiro picked me up and sat me on his lap with him between my legs. I blushed hard at the position we were in but Eijiro just chuckled before gently putting the ice on my face. It stung at first but the ice began to do it's thing and my cheek started to feel better. I grabbed the ice from Eijiro to hold it up myself when he wrapped his arms around me pulling me in closer. "For now on I'm going to show you what real love and care is. I will always protect you and be there for you." I put the ice down on the nightstand and wrapped my arms around Eijiro's neck. I know he means what he says he isn't the type that will lie about his feelings. "You'll always be my number one hero no matter what...I love you, Eijiro." I could feel Eijiro tense up at my confession but he soon relaxed and smiled at me before reaching up to kiss me on my lips. His smooth lips fot perfectly with mine almost as if it was meant for me. Eijiro then picked me up and laid me on the bed breaking the kiss. Eijiro laid down beside me with one of his arms wrapped around my waist. "I love you too (y/n). Try to get some sleep. I got somethings planned for us tomorrow."
