Chapter 17

I opened my eyes to the light shining through the windows. Eijiro's arms were still wrapped around me. I smiled to myself and kissed Eijiro on the cheek. I then got up from his bed and went to the kitchen. I wanted to do something nice for him for all his help so I decided that maybe I could cook breakfast. I don't know Eijiro's exact favorite food, but I do know that he loves meat. I went in the fridge and found some bacon, sausage, and eggs. It was hard to decide what to make so I cooked all of them along with a pot of rice. I was just finishing cooking the eggs when I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist and pressure on the top of my head. "It smells good pebble." I smiled to myself and focused on cooking so that the eggs won't burn. Eijiro stayed there watching me cook until I was done and told him to sit down and I'll make him his plate. Eijiro nodded his head and sat down at the table while I turned off the stove and made our plates. I sat Eijiro's plate in front of him then sat my down in the empty seat next to his. Eijiro quickly dug into the food. I smiled and laughed at how messy he was. He even tried talking with a mouth full of food. "This taste really... good!" I grabbed a napkin to wipe off his face. "Slow down before you choke on the food." I had to remind him. Eijiro gave me his goofy smile before returning back to his meal. After we were done eating I picked up our dishes snd put them in the sink to wash later. "What do you want to do today pebble?" I put one hand on my hip and the other on my chin in thought. Suddenly a great idea came to mind. I beamed with joy as I looked over at Eijiro. "Lets go to the fair!" I exclaimed out loud. Eijiro had an excited look on his face as well. "That does sound like a good idea. Let's go after we grab your things."

Timeskip

The whole way to my old apartment Eijiro and I were hand and hand without a care in the world. We stood in front of the apartment remembering everything that has happened when we first met. I took a deep breath and walked inside with Eijiro right behind me. It's crazy to think that I would be saying goodbye to this place. Evrn though I lived here for so long, it felt like this place isn't real. I walked down the familiar hallway to my bedroom. My room was the same as when I left it.  I grabbed some of my clothes to change in to since I am still wearing the ones Eijiro let me use last night. I then grabbed to suitcase I got from the mall and started stuffing it with clothes and other necesities. I heard the door begin to open so I turned around to see Eijiro coming in my room. I figured you would want this. I walked up to Eijiro with a confused expression. Eijiro handed me a picture frame with a nice dark wooden frame. A few tears came to my eyes as I looked at the picture of my and my dad. My dad was smiling while I was sitting on his shoulders laughing. I almost forgot that this picture even existed. "You miss him?" Eijiro asked as he gently pulled me to my bed to sit down with him. I was honestly have mixed emotions about my dad. I was angry and upset at him for cheating on my and leaving me with that woman.  But at the same time I knew that it wasn't completely his fault.  I laid my head onto Eijiro's shoulder and he wrapped his arm around me for comfort. "I do miss him." It was silent for a moment. It was as if the world was frozen and it was just Eijiro and I. "All right lets drop your bags off at my place and go to the fair." I nodded my head and got off the bed along with Eijiro. We grabbed my suitcase while I carried my backpack. When we stepped outside the door I paused to look back. I then smiled to myself. I get to say goodbye to this chapter in my life and can finally move forward.

Time skip

Eijiro and I walked into the fair and was amazed by the sights of all the rides and games. Also by the smells of  the delicious food from different vendors. "What ride should we do first?" Eijiro asked my while I was still looking around like a kid at Disney world. "Hey guys!" We turned around to see Mina, Kaminari, Sero, and Bakugo. "What are you guys doing here?" I asked them as they came up to us. "We thought we could use a break before going back to school from the internships so we decided to come here!" Mina explained while hugging  me. "We had to drag Bakugo here thought." Kaminari said pointing behind him to a pissed off Bakugo. "Since we're all here, why not enjoy the fair together." Eijiro knew how I felt about  being around other people so he looked down at me seeming to ask if I was ok with it being to make this into a group activity. During the internships I told myself that I will try to make new friends. I gave him a reassuring smile and nodded my head. Eijiro smiled back and turned to our friends and gave them the ok. We all talked and decided to try some of the games first. The first game we tried was an obstacle course. "Hey there ladies and gentlemen it seems they we have some hero course students from UA High School!" The announcer shouted out. Soon a whole crowed of people gathered around to watch. "All right future heroes in this race you're allowed to use your quirks to climb up this huge rock wall filled with minor setbacks. First one to reach the bell at the top of the wall wins!" We all had determined looks on our faces. "And....Begin!" I activated my shadow wings so that I can fly straight up to the bell. Bakugo had the same idea and used his explosions to propel himself upwards. We were basically neck and neck. Right when we halfway there, a panel came out out of the side knocking  the both of us down. Eijiro and the others were able to dodge the panel and moved on ahead of us. Mina was able to her agility to dodge the obstacles while Sero used his tape to pull himself out of the way. Eijiro and Kaminari  were having the most difficulty because of their quirk but are still able to push there way up. "I'm not done yet you bastards!" Bakugo shouted before exploding himself  back up with me following right behind him. "I'm not loosing either!" I shouted back. Bakugo and I flew passed the others, almost reaching the top. We stretched our hands out at the same time, trying to reach out to the bell. Bakugo had more arm length than me and was able to reach the bell before me. "Take that you losers!" Bakugo yelled from the top of wall. "Ugh I would've  won if it wasn't  for my T-Rex arms." I sighed in defeat. "At least you can in second. I didn't  stand a chance against you guys." Kaminari pouted. We all laughed and cheered Kaminari up before enjoying the rest of the fair. We all had a great time playing games and riding all the rides. The sun was already down and it was getting pretty late so we decided to ride a ferris before heading home. I got in the cabin with Eijiro and we slowly went around in the circle. The city lights looked beautiful from way up here. I looked over to Eijiro who was lost in his mind looking at the city. I took Eijiro by the hand. This action caused Eijiro to look at me. "Thank you for everything." Eijiro smiled and took my hand in both of his and looked me in the eyes. His eyes brought me comfort no matter what situation we were in. "I should be the one thanking you. (Y/n), you helped me become a better man. I grew confident in myself because of your encouragement." Eijiro leaned his forehead against mine. We sat in the same position for a few seconds before he leaned in closer for a kiss. "Can I?" Eijiro asked in a low tone. I nodded my head yes and Eijiro gently placed his lips on mine. The kill small and sweet then it changed into a more passionate one. Eijiro's arms wrapped around my waist so that he could pull me in closer. Before anything else could happened my phone started to go off in my pocket. I dugged in my pocket and pulled out my phone to see that Hawks is calling. I answered the call and put it up to my ear. "Hello?" "Hey kid how has it been going?" Hawks asked about my well being before changing is tone into something  more serious. "I was able to ask the hero commission about your father." My body grew stiff because of the new information I'm about to receive. "Good news is that he finished his mission early and he will be back in Japan tomorrow." I felt the excitement rise up in ny body. I finally get to see my dad after all these years. "Thank you Hawks!" Hawks told me no problem and we said our goodbyes. "What did Hawks want?" Eijiro asked me. "It's my dad, he's coming back tomorrow."
