My name is Philip Hamilton. I'm 17 years old, I'm pansexual, and I'm from Manhattan. My parents died when I was 4 years old, and I have a younger sister named Angelica, and we live with our Aunt Angelica and Uncle John. My life was great until I met a certain girl, her name was Blake McDald.
God, I wish I'd known. She was abusive, but almost no one believed me. Not even my "friends". I kept it a secret from my family, even Angie. But they had to know eventually, and they did. When Blake almost killed me. Blake stabbed me in the side, and I lost a lot of blood, but I managed to live. She never got arrested for it, and told the whole school I hurt her, when I didn't. As for Angelica, her ex best friend ruined her life too. Rosalina Mullhern was her name, she was a horrible friend. Angie told her she was a lesbian, and after a fight they had she told the entire school that Angie was lesbian and that she tried to take advantage of her. Unfortunately things took a horrible turn after that for Angie, as Rosalina later sexually assaulted her.
After that, Aunt Angelica decided we had to move. Blake and Rosalina ruined our lives here. So we're moving away to Monticello. We leave tonight. I climb into the very back with Angie and our cousin JJ.
We have 4 cousins that we live with. The first is Phil, who shares the same name as me. They're 21, non-binary, and also enbian. They're in college so I don't see them often.
The second is Kitty, her full name is Catherine, who's 20. She's also in college, and she's straight. She has a long distance boyfriend named Caden, who lives in North Carolina. She was the first person I told about my sexuality.
The third is JJ, his real name is John, but he goes by JJ. JJ is gay, and he's 18 years old. He had a boyfriend named Dominic, but Dominic is moving to California this week, and we're moving too, so they broke up.
The last cousin is Liza, also Elizabeth. She's 16 and queer. She has the same name as my mom. She reminds me a lot of my mom, too, although they don't resemble each other at all. She's great at giving advice, and was really helpful during the Blake/Rosalina situation, but she couldn't help us fix it entirely.
JJ and Kitty were having a conversation about boys, Phil was on their phone, and Liza was reading, so me and Angie started to talk. "Are you excited to move?" I asked Angie. "Yeah, beats staying here." She sighed. "Yeah, this situation sucks." I'm really gonna miss this town. If only Blake and Rosalina hadn't ruined everything.
Angie leaned her head on my shoulder, and she fell asleep leaning on me. I put her blanket over us, and we both fall asleep in the back.
