Aaaa. I love that so much! This is one of my strong pieces (no pun intended) and I have no idea what inspiration I had when I wrote this. It just randomly came to me and the meaning of this poem reached me a year after I wrote it.
It was during our literature teacher assigned us to write three diary entries. I remember being inwardly terrified of that task because I don't keep diaries. That's why I write poems, genius. I don't like to have my thoughts ascribed plainly on paper but I do need to let my thoughts out. So, poems it is.
So yeah. Instead of telling the professor about my day, I told her the stories in these poems. One of them was this current poem. I won't tell you what I told my teacher. It's up to you to make sense of this poem.
