Chapter 13: A Physical Exam

"And (L/N), you're going to join in, too." The pro hero's words rang in (Name) head as she headed out in her gym clothes. It was a dark blue zip up shirt and pants. The stripes on the uniform had U and A in white, with the U at the chest area and the A on the lower side, the stripes of the A reaching down to her legs. It showed school spirit, all right, she had to give that. She walked out with her hands in her pockets.

Out on the field, Classes 1-A and 1-B were waiting for the 41st student. Also the student who was not aiming to be a hero but rather to be the best Pokemon Trainer ever. She walked in awkwardly and joined her classmates. There were the homeroom teachers, pro heroes Eraser Head and Vlad King, waiting with the students. It was a little weird when she was emitting a very attractive and sweet scent and being the last one to come out, since she had to get her gym uniform.

"(Name)-chan still smells so nice," Mina whispered over to Ochako. "And we were in a room full of sweaty people!" she joked, but that was true. (Name) walked next to Momo and hid her face by looking down in embarrassment. The class vice president patted the transfer student's shoulder in empathy.

"Oh, so (L/N) was a transfer student in Class A," Itsuka breathed. "It doesn't make sense, though. Didn't she say that she was quirkless? How is she planning to become a hero without a quirk?" She put a finger to her chin in confusion.

"I don't think you've experience what she's like in first person," Tetsutetsu groaned at the memory. Once a ship sinks, it will remain sunk. He could never get rid of that memory, but he was half glad that it lingered. Itsuka shivered as the air around Tetsutetsu grew tense. Was (Name) that horrifying?

Vlad King cleared his throat. "You may be wondering why we're going to do a physical exam without quirks today," the hero began, getting a few nods from the students. "But that's because to enhance your physical strengths. When you can't activate your quirk for unknown reasons, your physical strength and abilities is what'll save you then." Some students nodded in understatement. "Though this will be a little different..."

Just how different could it be, though? It was just a regular physical exam, right? Yeah.... Nope. Cementoss appeared and made a rock climbing wall for them. Physical exam events: Track running 5 laps, Rock Climbing, Vaulting, Stretching head-to-toe, and Ball throwing test. No quirks allowed, which gave (Name) a good advantage because of her sole physical abilities.

"(Name)-chan seems excited, kero," Tsuyu ribbited, noting the transfer student's new dark aura. "She seems ready for this."

"She has amazing physical abilities, after all," Mina and Touru sighed in resonance.

"Kero?"

First event: Track Run, 5 Laps.

"Awase, Kaibara, Aoyama, Ashido," Vlad King announced. They all ran decently. There were close calls, but each were off by a few seconds.

Then it finally came to the last ones. "(L/N), Yaoyorozu, Mineta, Yanagi, Rin, you're up," Aizawa said lazily before rubbing his eyes. He pulled out a tracker like Vlad King. They started the event, and all students were off. While Reiko Yanagi was lagging behind, but not too much, (Name) was in the lead with more than half of one lap, even when it was the first 30 seconds. She was far ahead of the students. In less than two minutes, she was the first one done.

"She's so fast!" Kosei Tsuburaba commented.

"That looked so unreal, kero," Tsuyu agreed. Her leaned down posture straightened up a little bit in surprise. "No one can run as fast as that without a quirk."

"Oh, it's possible," Tetsutetsu replied, his expression turning into gloom. He shivered at the memory. There was that time when (Name) looked so scary. Aura would appear around her, and it would get all dark, even if it was only noon. His aura became gloomy, too, but it was in a different manner. "You don't want to experience it first hand..." he looked down, slumping unti all the students could feel what he had went through. Pony, Manga, Neito, Mina, Kyouka, and Touru knew. (Name) was ridiculously fast.
