"Helping you out?" Ukai questioned very confused.
"Don't try and help these girls, they were trying to steal,"
"What no! We weren't stealing, we were borrowing," I just realized that it didn't make it sound any better.
"That's what they all say,"
"No truly! I would never disrespect this school. I wanted to play a one on one match with my dear friend,"
"Seiji, I know this girl she wouldn't steal. Trust me, I will get you a free meat bun if we just forget about this little incident,"
"Ugh," Seiji scoffed. "I will hold you up to that, I don't know why you are helping these troublesome girls,"
"Oh thank you!" Sakura yelled, falling to her knees. "I thought we were goners, y/n I can't get in trouble i'm just starting up my career," She sighed.
"I didn't mean to," I mumbled.
"It's fine, nobody is in trouble. Why were you trying to get to the volleyballs?"
"Oh well Sakura and I used to be on the team in highschool. I thought it might be nice to try again, though i'm most likely still rusty," I laughed.
"Why don't you come and play with the boys, we can throw you guys in there, it's just a simple practice today!"
"That sounds fun, thanks Ukai you're the best!" I beamed grabbing Sakura's hand and dragging her to the gym. "Hi guys!" I yelled and the all turned to look at me with Sakura holding my hand, being a little bit nervous with all the males. She never did good with getting in trouble and rowdy boys.
"Sis?" Daichi questioned walking up to me.
"Hey Daichi, might have got in a little trouble with one of the teachers here," I laughed. "Luckily Ukai was there to save us, the cops might have been called," I laughed again and the boys stared at me with disbelief.
"You're sister is so cool!" Tanaka, Noya, and Hinata all yelled.
"Not really, being arrested is kind of awkward," I told them remembering the time a interview went wrong.
"You have been arrested?" Daichi yelled, smacking the back of my head.
"Don't tell mom. I mean not really I got bailed out and it didn't go on my record, it was a misunderstanding. But I did have to sit in a jail for a couple hours," I remembered how I meet the nicest hooker. "So let's play some volleyball! This is my friend Sakura, we used to play in highschool so don't get mad at us if we are a little rusty," I tell them.
They all start splitting up into teams and Takeda walks over to me.
"Man, you sure are a interesting person y/n," Ukai mentions, pushing my shoulder a little,"
"I guess you could say that," I chuckled.
"About the other night and that cheek ki-" Ukai started before he was interrupted by Takeda.
"Hey do you think we could go get coffee sometime?" Takeda asked, he started to fidget with his fingers a bit while I was thinking of a answer. "I mean you know, or not. I was thinking it would be nice to hear about your stories and stuff and learn more about you since Daichi is the captain of the team. Not that it has anything to do with it," He kept going on.
"Oh Takeda, that would be nice," I shot him a kind smile hoping he won't think to much into it.
"I can come too, if we need snacks I can get them," Ukai butts in.
"Okay yeah, and I will invite Sakura too!" Takeda had a disappointed look while Ukai wore a annoyed one. "This will be fun, just let me know what you guys are thinking! Anyways i'm going to go play, have you guys played volleyball before?"
"Yeah, my dad was the old coach," Ukai mentions.
"Nice!"
"Y/n come on we figured out the teams!" One of the boys yelled. I waved to the older men and went to join the boys.
I joined the group getting paired up with Sakura, Tanaka, and Sugawara. It was a four on four game, odd number but it will have to work. We played a few rounds against Daichi, Hinata, Asahi, and Kageyama.
I had been a ace when I was younger so I took that position and Sakura took the position of wing spiker. But since it was only four people we switched around a bit.
"Y/n you still got it," Daichi commented after playing 3 rounds to 12 points, going back and forth with the winning points.
"Thanks bro, I like to think I still do," I laughed.
"Y/n, I wish I knew about your talent when you used to live here. I would have made Daichi get you to help us practice," Suga explained.
"I'm not that good, I was lucky to be on the team. I was also pretty lucky to get on their team in collage, that's what really made me a better player," I remarked. "I should head back soon,"
"Yeah, i'll go too," Daichi added.
"Daichi, we were supposed to get some meat buns," Hinata reminds him.
"Oh right," Daichi coughs. RING RING!
"Oh excuse me," I step out and answer the phone call.
"Hey y/n," The voice speaks drunkenly.
"Hello? What do you need?"
"Can you pick me up? It's been a crazy night with the boys and I need a place to crash," The boy speaks then laughing at something a voice said in the background.
"I have told you how many times that i'm not home. I reminded you of this, but you never talk to me unless you want to 'have fun' so why would you care," I scoff.
"Don't be like that babe, come on now. Just because I talked to that girl the other day doesn't mean I do-" I hung up.
"Sorry about that, i'm going to walk home. See you later everyone, great seeing you Sakura," I shoot a tired smile and walk out.
I think everyone can tell that I am annoyed so they all say a quick a goodbye not pushing it further. That man always knew how to get on my nerves. I mean I know he was my boyfriend but we weren't going to be together much longer. I wonder what Ukai is doing later this week?
