Soulmate AU: You and your soulmate are each connected by the sound of bells. The closer you are to your soulmate, the louder the bells in your head are. When you two are right next to each other, you hear wedding bells.

Summary: You're a Tightrope walker alongside Doll at the Noah's Ark Circus. One day, during a performance, you injure your ankle and are unable to perform for atleast several months. Your hopes are down until two new performers join the circus, and you hear wedding bells.

  You stared up at the top of the medical tent- allowing yourself to be lost in thought. As per Dagger's strict orders, you weren't allowed to leave your bed in the medical tent. If you even dared to get up, you would surely get a lecture regarding your health and safety. However, you found yourself to be overwhelmingly bored. The big stack of books you once had was now read through, and no one had come to check on you for what felt like hours.

"How do they expect me to stay here when I don't even have anything to do." You looked to the last book you had now. The Doctor had kindly left a book for you saying, "Its probably not very interesting but hopefully its helpful."

It wasn't interesting as you quickly discovered: a medical book on soulmates. Atleast, he was perceptive enough to know of your favorite topic. You'd had a fascination with soulmates ever since you were little in the East End when you first heard the small chimes of bells in your head. Even Joker had never heard his bells before, so you naturally took an interest in it.

When all of you eventually decided to start a circus, you came up with the idea to make it a traveling show in hopes to one day hear those bells again. You hadn't been successful yet. But, you certainly got your mind running often by reading storybooks, poems, even novels on soulmates. Anything you could get your hands on really.

You weren't too interested in looking at the medical study on soulmate's. They were always dull and nothing like those novels on two star-crossed lovers who were truly, deeply in love with each other at the sound of wedding bells. An actual medical book was what taught you that soulmates don't have to be in love with each other. Some soulmates can only ever become friends, despite what the hopeless romantic in you longer for.

"Hey Doctor, it's pretty quiet. Do you know whats going on?" You sat up to look towards the man sitting at his desk. He seemed a bit startled by you speaking.

"I heard Joker might be testing some new performers—" The man barely got all his words out before you were off the bed and nearing the flaps of the tent.
