So @Galaxy-dust had an idea for a Simpsons AU, where Undertale characters were Simpson characters. And I decided to create a one-shot of this AU. It's short, though. Might do a part two, if I can find representatives for Papyrus and Mettaton.
Maggie stood up slowly and looked around, taking in her surroundings. The last thing she remembered was tripping over that vine and falling into a massive hole on Mount Ebott, when she had been hiking. She looked up, and saw to her dismay that the world she had known was now miles above her, and there was no returning. Sighing in disbelief, she began to walk down the corridor. She didn't know where, but she had to find something, anything that will help her.
At the end of the corridor was a large room, and in the center stood a man. His back was turned to Maggie, but when she approached, he turned, and smiled at her.
"Ahoy hoy!" he greeted her. "I'm Monty. Monty Burns."
His voice was low and husky, and he had his fingers tented. Maggie walked closer cautiously.
"Hmm...you're new to Springfield, aren't you?" Monty Burns asked. "You must be so confused...someone ought to teach you how things work around here. I guess little old me will have to do. Ready? Here we go!"
Suddenly, a glowing red heart seemed to come out of Maggie's chest and floated in the air in front of her.
"See that heart? That is your SOUL, the very culmination of your being!" Monty informed. Maggie realized that she could maneuver her "SOUL" around wherever she wanted. "Your SOUL starts off weak, but it can grow stronger if you gain a lot of LV."
Maggie had never heard of the term LV, and it seemed to show on her face, because Monty continued to explain.
"What's LV? Why, LOVE, of course! You want some LOVE, don't you?"
LOVE sounds like a good thing! Of course I want it, she thought while nodding her head in agreement.
"Don't worry, I can share some with you!" Monty said. He held out his hand, and five small, white balls appeared, floating, above it.
"In Springfield, LOVE is shared through little, white...friendliness pellets." Monty explained. "Are you ready? Move around, and get as many as you can!"
The friendliness pellets flew towards Maggie's SOUL. She didn't know what would happen if her SOUL touched one of them, and she didn't completely trust this man. But this seemed like her only chance to survive down here, so she willed her SOUL to touch one of the pellets.
As soon as they made contact, Maggie felt excruciating pain throughout her body. She fell backwards in shock and terror. When she looked up, Monty's expression had completely changed from a joyful, welcoming smile to an evil, demented smile.
"You IDIOT." he shouted. "In this world, it's KILL or BE KILLED. Why would ANYONE pass up an opportunity like this!?"
Suddenly, multiple "friendliness" pellets appeared in the air around Maggie's SOUL, closing off any escape. As they surrounded her, Monty spoke one word, the word that struck fear into Maggie's...well...SOUL?
"DIE."
As the pellets slowly began to inch closer and closer to the SOUL, Monty began to laugh, an evil cackle that echoed off of the walls and down the corridor. Maggie knew that she was dead. Why did she have to take that hiking trip, WHY?
The pellets hit the SOUL again, but instead of being hurt, Maggie felt rejuvenated. Something had gone wrong. Monty's expression changed to one of confusion as he realized that she had not died.
Suddenly, off to the right, a ball of light appeared, and hurtled towards Monty, who turned just before the ball collided with him. He flew through the air with a shout of shock, and smashed hard against the wall. He slid down the wall to the floor, knocked out from the impact.
"What a terrible man, torturing such a poor, innocent youth." said a voice from where the ball of light had appeared. Maggie stood quickly, and turned towards the voice. The speaker was a middle aged woman whose blue hair stretched almost to the ceiling.
"Ah, do not be afraid, my child," she said. "I am Marge, caretaker of the RUINS. I pass through this place every day to see if anyone has fallen down. You are the first person to come here in a long time. Come, I will guide you through the catacombs."
Maggie thought that this new woman, Marge, seemed a lot kinder than Monty had been, but she still wasn't sure if she fully trusted her yet. Nevertheless, she followed her as she left the room.
