This is kinda a prequel to Second Chance.

It was a beautiful day in Minecraft. Any other day was beautiful, but these past few were better than the others. The NPCs were far happier than they had been in years, for the virus Herobrine had been defeated and deleted by the User-that-is-not-a-user. Without the constant threat of death looming upon the village, the days were truly beautiful.

Monet113 appeared in the game. The two Cheverton children had been allowed to enter Minecraft whenever they had wanted, now that Herobrine was gone. Since then, they had entered every day. Monet looked around at her familiar surroundings before heading to the village to meet Stitcher.

Recently, she had realized some things about herself that she hadn't known before. First off, she'd found out that she was a lesbian. Second off, she was in love with Stitcher. The first thing she was OK with, but the second thing was a bit of a problem. Stitcher and Herder had started dating after Herobrine was destroyed, and although Monet was happy with them, she kind of felt jealous. She knew better than to interfere with their love.

As she entered the village, she was hailed by many of the NPCs there. Crafter and Hunter ran out to meet her.

"Hello, Monet." Crafter greeted warmly.

"Hi, Crafter! Hello, Hunter!" Monet said happily. "Where's Stitcher and Herder?"

"They're talking in the crafting chamber." Hunter told her.

Monet turned from her friends and headed to the building where the crafting chamber was. As she descended the ladder, she could hear voices talking. But for some reason, those voices sounded louder than normal. She got to the end of the ladder and walked to the main room. But before she could open the door to enter the room, it was suddenly thrown ajar, bouncing off of the opposite wall. Herder stormed out, looking angry about something, passing Monet without a word to her, and ascended the ladder. Confused, Monet entered the room.

Stitcher was standing in the middle of the room. She looked like she was trying not to cry. Monet walked up to her friend.

"Stitcher, what happened?" she asked.

She looked up, her face full of pain.

"I broke up with Herder." she said.

"What?" Monet gasped. "But you two seemed so happy!"

"I thought so, too." Stitcher said angrily. "But he's been so distant in our relationship, and when I confronted him about it, he said we were moving too fast. I just don't get it."

"Maybe he didn't want to take the next step just yet." Monet told her.

"No...that's not it." Stitcher declined. "It's just...it's not fair."

"What do you mean?"

Stitcher sighed. "Everyone I've known had found someone. I didn't think much of it until my sister started dating your brother. I began to get kind of jealous. Herder hadn't found anyone either, and since we were such good friends already, I decided to take the next step. It's just so unfair that everyone else gets to have someone, but I don't."

Monet put an arm around her friend. "You're not alone. I haven't found anyone either."

Stitcher looked up quizzically.

"I don't think I've told anyone else yet, but...I'm lesbian. I don't like boys at all." Monet said hesitantly. "I've never told anyone because...well...that sort of thing isn't really accepted in my town. I'm afraid that everyone will hate me."

Stitcher was shocked. "Monet, your sexuality is nothing to be ashamed about. It doesn't matter what other people think. I'm bi, by the way, so I'm obviously not going to judge you. You're still my best friend, Monet. You're not alone anymore."

TIME SKIP

Monet paced back and forth in her room, thinking about what to do. She knew she had to do something, but what? Suddenly, she got an idea. Hopefully this will increase my chances to be with her, she thought.

She left her room and ran back down to the building where the crafting chamber was. Somewhere down there was a storage room where she could find what she was looking for. She descended the ladder, and entered the now-empty crafting chamber. Opening the door to the storage room, she could see endless rows of chests which held various objects. She opened the one where the enchanted books were stored, and grabbed as many Power books as she could find. Dashing to a nearby anvil, she combined them to create a Power 5 book, which, when combined with a bow, would create a very deadly weapon in combat. Even though Herobrine was gone, the monster kings weren't, and they would most likely be back for revenge. After creating the book, she left the crafting chamber in search of Stitcher.

She speedwalked to the two sisters's house and knocked on the door. Hunter answered.

"Is Stitcher there with you?" she asked, slightly out of breath.

"Yeah, yeah, come in." Hunter said, opening the door and moving aside so she could enter.

"She's in her room," she said. Monet walked up to the door that lead to the room that she referred to. She knocked, before pushing it slightly ajar. Stitcher, who was sitting on her bed, looked up.

"Oh hey, Monet." she said. Monet shut the door behind her and sat down beside her friend.

"Stitcher, I have something to tell you." she told her. "I told you that I was lesbian, and that I didn't like boys. Well I wanted to tell you something else."

"What is it?" she asked.

Monet held out the book that she created and gave it to Stitcher. She gasped as she read what was on it, and looked up.

"Wow, Monet, how'd you-"

"Stitcher, I've had a crush on you for a very long time." she interrupted. "And I was scared to tell you, cause I thought you'd reject me. But I realized that, since you're bi, I'd have less of a chance of being rejected...so is that alright?"

She waited for Stitcher's response.

"Monet, of course that's alright!" she said, shocking Monet slightly. "Didn't you hear me say I was desperate for romance? I kinda like you too, to be honest..."

"Really?" Monet asked. "Thank you so much!"

"No problem, Monet," Stitcher said, hugging the girl.

"Don't worry, Stitcher," Monet said, hugging her back. "You're not alone anymore."
