Knock. Knock.

"Come in".

Swallowing, with a shaky smile, I stepped into the lavish Russian mansion. I'd seen it in the Orb Of Sight before-when I occasionally checked up-but seeing it with my own eyes, I could only gawk at the extravagant design.

Looking up, I decided the ceiling was easily 50ft tall. With different hues of ivy vines hanging down above my head and golden accents all along the white walls.

"Did you get my letter?" I exhaled, slipping my dark brown trench coat off my shoulders.

"Yes" Bethanne nodded. "They're through that door, in the drawing room".

Freezing my movements, I followed her gaze to a door to the left of me, where I heard the muffled noise of a TV.

This is it. Finally, after eleven years. I get to know my brother's again.

Bethanne beckoned me through the door. Cracking my knuckles, I chewed nervously on my bottom lip, shuffling hesitantly into the room.

"Garren, Evan, you have a visitor" Bethanne stepped to my left, "This is Lainey"

Evan's head snapped up from where he sat on a dark grey loveseat, reading a book. Garren's eyes still on the TV, watching some kind of documentary.

Although they've aged considerably since the last time I saw them, my breath still hitched in my throat the second Evan's familiar blue eyes met mine.

Each speckle of green and yellow in his blue orbs, reminded me of our long, forgotten childhood together. Where we played football outside until dusk almost everyday, Where Lyle and I would prank Evan until he cried,

Where Voldemort was never an issue,
Where our mother was never tortured,
Where our father was never murdered,
Where our brother was never burnt alive.

I always wondered, if I had sent Astoria here with them when I erased their memories all those years ago, would life be any different? Would Astoria be happier here?...Would I have ended up with Malfoy? These are the type of questions I cast away and locked up in the tightest corner of my brain.

"Lainey? Hey I know you!" Evan exclaimed, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"You-you do?" I stuttered, thinking the sight of me may have countered the memory potion. I mean that would make things a lot easier-

"Yeah! It was years ago though..like in a dingy bar...I almost don't remember it, I think I was drunk or something..." Evan rambled.

A wave of nostalgia sprung through me, feeling my eyes prickle with tears, I gave a sad smile and forced myself to remember that he is only the ghost of someone I once knew.

I cleared my throat. "Yes my name is Lainey. Lainey Fitzroy."

Garren whipped his head in my direction, giving me a confused grimace, Evan just wrinkled his nose.

"Fitzroy?" was Garren's first words to me in a decade. "Are you our cousin? I didn't know Aunt Sara had children".

I blinked. "What was the story you told them?" I said lowly, so my brothers couldn't hear".

Apparently I wasn't quiet enough, for they both said "what story?" in complete unison.

Giving a long sigh, Bethanne replied "When you first erased their memories-"

"Erased our memories?!" Evan questioned, looking back and forth between Bethanne and I.

"-I told them we were visiting your Aunt Sara" she said, ignoring the boys completely. "I said we were on holiday and we that would be returning home to Russia-"

"Okay, WHAT IS GOING ON" Garren demanded, now stood from his seat on the sofa.

I pursed my lips, turning to face Garren, Evan and Bethanne, both watching with cautious suspense.

Letting out a ragged breath, I straightened my posture, "I'm your sister"

A/N: I hope this wasn't too bad! but it's just the first chapter of many more to come. I'm not sure how long I wanna make this story though but it will definitely satisfy you Drainey shippers :)
