Me (original)

Loyal, hardworking, quintessimally Hufflepuff.

(She doesn't belong there,

my demons are too strong.)

Harry Potter, paranormality, aesthetics are her forte.

(She claims to be Dark Academia,

but I know I'm really Darkest.)

Somehow she stumbled through a come-out.

(Should it really be she?

Or is she really they?)

Her Boggart is the no internet symbol,

but her Patronus is the texting ellipsis.

(She hides in her closet, typing,

waiting until I am myself again.)

She hopes for the day when her straight A's

go for nothing and she opens a coffee shop.

(Her lifelong dreams,

all in a single job.)

Her depersonalization disorder goes

dismissed by her mother.

(She views the world from above,

whole, then shattered by one word.)

That one moment when she held the end

in her hand.

Then put it down.

(She hates herself for it

but I love hate.)
