Chapter Three: Bad Liar

CHAPTER THREE: BAD LIAR

"You're free to go," The Professor said as Cyan begin to leave. Jayden panicked and stepped back pushing the group away.

Kelsey just waited in the waiting room like normal. Dylan and Lily were right next to her and Jayden was on the floor slightly out of breath.

Cyan then giggled when he saw his friend on the ground. "Why are you on the ground?"

"I'm so weak with my powers that I really need to build up my strength," Jayden said smiling.

"Strength?" Cyan's eyes widened with excitement. You could also see the mini brown freckles covered all over his cute little face. "I'm strong! Like I can lift a hundred books!"

Kelsey then was completely lost as she watched Jayden and Cyan's conversation. Why was Cyan now acting like a child again? It didn't make any sense.

"Hey Dylan," She said giving a signal to talk to him alone. Dylan followed her to a place where they could talk alone.

"What's up?" He asked crossing his arms. He wondered why his partner called him over to talk.

"Did you notice Cyan?" Kelsey whispered to him.

"Somewhat."

"He was acting like a child around us but when he was around the Professor, he acted like his own age," Kelsey explained. "You know what I mean?"

"It seems normal for a kid like him," Dylan asked as he watched Cyan try to pick up heavy books to "prove" his strength. "Lashin has that personality too. And there's no doubt that Jayden is like that as well."

"But he isn't a kid. That's the thing," Kelsey said getting frustrated. "He's a year younger then me by the looks of it. Why doesn't he act like he's eight?"

Dylan frowned and started thinking. "I can get in his mind. I can see what powers that he has."

"Cyan also mentioned that he was Johnson's class for a while until he got moved to Logan's class," Kelsey pointed out. "And he's the third new student."

Dylan nodded as he used his powers to get into Cyan's mind. Cyan was distracted playing with Jayden so it was perfect. Dylan then smiled as he found Cyan's power. "Interesting.."

"What?" Kelsey asked eagarly. "What did you find?"

"He's immortal."

Immortal.

It explained everything.

Cyan was immortal. Cyan could not grow old or even die. He was stuck at the age when he got his powers. It explained everything. Now, they had to question him about Johnson.

"Hey Dylan?" Jayden suddenly asked as Kelsey and Dylan came back from talking.

"What?" Dylan asked bluntly.

"Well, do you think that we can go hangout in your hideout?" Jayden asked as Cyan got excited. Dylan then facepalmed. This was a bad idea.

After a long walk, the group made it to the hideout. It took a little Jayden and Dylan arguing but now, they were here. Jayden made a little tent from hoppla hoops that he had summoned. Lily took her place at the table's chair and frowned at Jayden. Kelsey took her place at the brown bean bag chair and Dylan was getting a snack from the kitchen area.
