I pant heavily as I jump up from my bed. My breathing slowly levels out, and I get out from under my sheets. I'm covered in sweat, and have been enduring my nightmare for at least an hour before I couldn't take it anymore. When I check my watch, it's 2:13 am. So much for getting my beauty sleep. Even though it might wake up the others, I jump in the shower.

I sigh tiredly as I feel the hot liquid run down my back. Will he notice? Heh, he hasn't up until this day. Chances are he'll brush it off, and forget about it. I think to myself. Papyrus has never been one to care about peoples sleeping schedules. Especially his girlfriend's. He's fully aware I wake up so early, but the first night he noticed, I told him it was normal. And although I'm sure he doesn't believe me, he's never said anything against it.

I get out of the shower and dry myself off. I don't feel like being awake, but going back to sleep will result in another string of nightmares. I put on a hoodie, and some athletic shorts. I may as well head outside for a bit. I know someone who'll be awake this early.

Walking outside, I shiver at the cold. I almost regret wearing shorts, but then I remember where I'm headed. I walk through the snow, and make my way to Waterfall. I catch sight of Alphys training. She works to hard. I think to myself. Alphys catches sight of me, and almost looks surprised. She walks up to me. "Hey, punk. What're you doing up so early?" She questions. I shrug, and stuff my hands in my pockets.

"Right back at cha'" I respond. She rolls her eye, and grabs me by the hood. I squeak in surprise, but accept it. She carries me inside her house, and sits me down on the sofa. "I know something's up with you." She says. "I've seen you pass by my house like three days in a row." Oh boy. Alphys wasn't supposed to see me. What am I supposed to say now? The truth?

I look up, and see that Alphys is glaring at me. She won't accept anything but the truth, will she? "I've been having nightmares." I state. I look down to avoid any weird face Alphys'll make. "Nightmares, huh?" Alphys snorts, and slaps me on the back. I choke on my spit, and get pushed forward quite a bit. I rub my shoulder to try and get rid of the stinging sensation. "Kid, when do nightmares control what you do? Own them like a man!" Alphys shouts energetically. I lift an eyebrow. "I'm a woman-" I start. "So am I! But does that stop me? No!" She yells.

"You have nightmares?" I ask, genuinely surprised. Alphys scoffs. "Well yeah. Everyone does. Some worse than others, but we still have 'em." She says. I nod. "Yeah, that makes sense." I say quietly. "Yours must've been pretty bad if they've got you up this early." Alphys says after an awkward moment of silence.

"I would have never guessed." I respond sarcastically. Alphys huffs, and sits down at her table. "Wanna talk about it?" She asks. I study her bored, but expectant face. She looks tired, if anything. I shouldn't be here right now. "Heh, no it's alright. Thanks Alph. I should get going though. Paps might have a heart attack if he wakes up, and I'm not home." I say. "I didn't know he had one." Alphys says.

I roll my eyes, and open the door. "Bye Alphys." I say. She chuckles, and nods her head. "See yah around, punk." Alphys says. I smile, and head out her door. I check the time to see it's already 4:07. Huh. I guess it did take me a while to get here. I shrug it off, and keep walking.  Should I go back home? Probably. I don't want to get back to Papyrus being awake. I think to myself. That would be bad.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

4:29 is the time I get back home. I slowly open the door, and slip in through the small crack. I carefully take off my shoes, and walk into the kitchen. I walk in to see Papyrus with his head laid on the table. I go to his side, and notice there's a bottle of honey in his hands. I frown when I notice he's shaking. "Paps?" I question. He flinches, but doesn't wake up.

"Paps, come on." I say. I lay my hand on his shoulder. Suddenly he stands up, knocking his chair down. His left eye socket was a bright orange, and he was in a defensive position. I squeak, and cower away. He looks down to my level, and instantly relaxes. "Y/n?" He asks. I put two thumbs up, still a bit shaken up. "Yep. T-that's me." I say. He frowns, and hugs me. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that.." He says.

I chuckle, and squeeze him. "I'm guessing that was a nightmare. Do you want to talk about it?" I ask. I feel him tense up. "No, it doesn't matter. I'll be fine." He responds cooly. He lets go of me, and grabs his honey. I watch as he takes a swig of it, and goes to the living room. Papyrus stares at the ceiling as if nothing just happened. "Paps, you can talk to me-" "Drop it." Papyrus snaps. I get defensive, and put my hands on my hips. "Well I'm sorry I'm trying to make sure you're doing alright." I say.

Papyrus gives me a side glance, and sits up. My confidence fades away as he gives me a cold stare. "I said drop it. It's not like you'd understand anyways." Papyrus says. He flops back down as I feel my face get warm. I feel anger bubble up inside me, but I push it down. Of course, of course. Because you're the only person here who has nightmares! I snap back in my head. Something tells me that if I were to say something along those lines, it wouldn't end well.

I leave, and head to my room. I make sure to shut the door harder than usual. I can't leave without showing that I'm not the slightest bit angry. I groan, and sit on my bed. I can't believe he just said that! Me, his girlfriend, can't understand his damn nightmare.  I sigh, and hug one of my pillows. I feel a few warm tears prick my eyes. Out of all people I'd want to trust me, I would want it to be him. But if he can't trust me with a nightmare, than.. did he trust me with anything?

A/N: Cliffhanger yay- Sorry, I have twelve other one-shots I need to get to, but I wanted to post something. So hooray, I guess. Jester actually did something. Anyways, would anyone actually be interested in a part two?
