Zee's Nightmare (short chapter)

Zee was standing in a place that looked like a military outpost. She was quite sure Y/N, Zizzy and Pony had been here before. There was no one else around but...her twin. Zuzy's back was turned to her, her hair and dress swaying in the wind. 

"Zuzy! You're okay!" Zee exclaimed while flinging her arms around her sister. She was so relieved that she wanted this to be real. But...something was wrong.

Zuzy normally reciprocated when Zee gave her a hug. They were sisters who loved each other dearly, after all. But now, Zuzy didn't even react when Zee hugged her. She just stood there, still as a statue, showing no sign that she noticed Zee. Zee frowned. "Zuzy?" she asked tentatively. What happened next was happened so fast it was a blur. 

Zuzy whipped around and shouted, "Get out of here now! Before it's too late!" and then something hit her from behind and she fell to the ground, unconscious and unmoving. Zee gasped. "No, I'm not leaving you behind!" she exclaimed while she knelt beside her sister, frantically trying to think of a way to help her. Then something hit her face and the blow was so strong it pushed her far away onto a nearby wall. "OW!" she shouted.

Her back and face felt a searing pain. Blood dripped onto her hands and clothes. She struggled to get up and help her twin, but another blow came and the sight of her sister dissolved, leaving her anguished and alone in the dark.

"NO! ZUZY!" she yelled, but as soon as she yelled those words her throat felt dry and she couldn't speak. Her breathing slowed down. Zee curled up on the ground, sure it was her final breath soon.

Her eyes fluttered open and she gasped, tears in her eyes. She blinked them away and tried to let her eyes focus on her surroundings. She was still in the safe house. Then she felt as though she was being watched. 

She sat up and saw a tall figure standing at the foot of her bed. She did what any person would do if they saw someone or something watching them. She took a lamp from her bedside table and prepared to throw it. 

"Wait! I'm not a stranger!" the figure said in a familiar voice. Zee narrowed her eyes and noticed the figure was actually Richard. "Richard! What are you doing, watching me while I'm asleep?! It's creepy, you know, after a frickin' nightmare!" she shouted at him. 

"Nightmare? That's why you were screaming and shaking in bed?" Richard asked quizzically, and eyebrow raised. It took Zee a few seconds to make sense of what he was saying. Oh, god, was she really screaming and shaking in her sleep?! Now, that's embarrassing.

"Y-Yeah..." Zee replied softly. Richard came over and sat next to her on the bed. "What happened in the nightmare?" he asked her. Zee started tearing up again. "I don't wanna talk about it." "If the details are too sketchy or you just wanna keep it personal, I understand. But sometimes, letting others know about your problems will make it easier to solve." Richard said. Zee figured he was right, but she knew if she talked about it, she might start crying all over again. But she told him anyway, from start to end.

"Oh...that explains why you screaming in your sleep. If what happened to Zuzy happened to Bunny, I'll be equally distraught." Richard said. "But hey, that dream you described has a clue where we might start looking for Zuzy!" "Richard, I doubt it. Dreams aren't always related to something that's happening in the real world." Zee said. Then she heard Zizzy shout, "OH, HOW COULD I HAVE BEEN SUCH AN IDIOT?!"

"I think we ought to check that out." said Zee. Then both of them exited the room.

I'm sorry for the short chapter! This was something I wanted to add but didn't know how to make longer. But, I promise, a longer chapter will come out next!
