YUUJI SMILES AS HE LAYS HIS HEAD on ( name )'s shoulder, his eyes fixated on the screen in front of them. "haven't you seen this already." they mumbled, their hands softly stroking yuuji's short pink hair. "yeah, back then when gojou-sensei first trained me." yuuji whispers, his attention still at the screen as he leans more onto his partner's shoulder.
"we should watch something else then." they say, moving the blanket to move but yuuji stops them before they can. "no i wanna watch it with you though, bub." he cutely whines, his head slightly tilted as the light from the screen reflect brightly on his brown eyes, making his eyes gloss a little. ( name ) couldn't help but give in to him, his puppy eyes was too much to handle as they wrap their arms tightly on yuuji.
"kissy." they stated suddenly, their gaze averted to the side so yuuji can't see the slight tint of rosy pink on their cheeks. "what was that?" yuuji teased a little, finding his partner's reaction adorable as he leans in closer to them. "you heard me..." they muttered their gaze still averted. the movie provided as background music to them as they both waited for each other to make the first move. it was silent between the two but the air was surrounded with a challenging aura. both didn't want to give in and both wanted the kiss already.
usually, yuuji would give in first and initiate the kiss first but he was feeling competitive this night and didn't want to give in easily to their partner's begging. "you know this is just going to drag on for forever." they stated, a pout on their lips as they glance at the stoic pink haired boy. the poor boy was looking down, his stoic expression slightly breaking as a hint of a pout and glossy eyes were seeping through quickly. "that's not going to work on me.." they mumbled choosing to look away to avoid anymore give in's to his puppy expressions.
"aww! i thought i had you there!" he whines, a small giggle coming out as he snuggles closer to ( name ). which made the latter blush a little, their poor heart was beating in such a fast rate, they were afraid yuuji might actually hear it beat loudly. "i have good control." they scoffed, playfully offended that yuuji thought they were easy to get. "c'mon ( name ), i'm sorry," he spoke softly his hand on their chin as he tilts them towards his direction. there it was again, the glossy eyes and pouting lips that they were slowly giving in to. "maybe if you give me kissy?" they asked with a high squeaky voice, surprising yuuji as he has never seen them do such an act.
two can play this game, they stated in their head as they continue to cutely look at yuuji with what they can interpret as a puppy expression. the pinkette didn't really budge from the expression they gave off, he only gave a weird expression as he furrows his brows together. silence once again overtook them but it was soon interrupted with a loud laugh from yuuji, surprising and confusing the other person in the room as they ask repeatedly why he was laughing. "why, what is it" they whined, dragging out there words as he continued to laugh.
"it.. d-doesn't.. fit you at all!" he laughs once more, upsetting the other a little bit as they pout. "well, not everyone can be as cute as you!" they stated, crimson washing over their cheeks as they look away. "w-wait, no i didn't mean it-" he laughs once more, the image of their partner having such a forced cute expression was ingrained in his mind forever. he found it cute that they tried to be cute for him despite it being out of their capability. "it was cute, i just wasn't expecting it." yuuji finally calms down, his arms now wrapped around his lover's waist.
"you literally just laughed at my face, you can't convince my already broken heart!" they dramatically say, their arms crossed as they refuse to acknowledge the puppy expression yuuji held once again. "oh c'mon, what do i do for you to forgive me?" he asks as he tightens his grip on their waist, not noticing that they blushed more from the small gesture. "kissy.." they stated, just as their request from earlier on.
yuuji hesitates for a little, not wanting to give in to them fully but he knew that he had to keep his challenging side down a little as he leans in close to their face. to say that the silence was heavy was an understatement, it was dead silent as the blushing ( name ) only waited for yuuji to initiate. for some reason, the couple were always hesitant when it comes to kissing each other. they weren't really completely new to it but they weren't also completely used to it.
they were just in the middle, where they still blushed intensely when either one of them touched the other. even a simple hug would make their hearts race incredibly fast. so as yuuji closes his eyes slowly and as the room grows silent with only the fast beating of their hearts accompanying them, the other silently panicked as they lean in as well.
the kiss was short and sweet, the lingering heat was still on their lips and the slight taste of strawberry lip balm was tasted by the both of them. tranquility drapes the atmosphere, the both of them held each other softly as the movie played in the background. "thank you" they muttered against yuuji's yellow sweater, making the other grin widely as he strokes their hair softly. "thank you as well." yuuji mutters.
"wait, you use a strawberry flavored lip balm?" ( name ) questions, chuckling as the boy only groaned in embarrassment.
