THE KINGDOM OF GOLD was as silent as ever. the eerie halls that was once filled with serotonin and running children was as deadly silent as any dark alleyways. the flowers that bloomed with petals as colorful as the sunset rustled with little to no wind.

it was deadly eerie in the kingdom of gold. no signs of life nor movement at sight. but in the dreary back walls of the kingdom was a prince on a run, his dress disarray and his breathing unstable. he was running with no goal in mind, he just knew how to run and run away far from the kingdom he once called his home. "fuck!" the vulgar word slips quickly from his delicate rosy lips, in contrast to his painstakingly gorgeous face.

his hands gripped the hems of his dress with mighty force, greater than any power as anxiety and adrenaline drowns his emotions. escaping was the only task in his mind, the bittersweet sight of the forest he was running through hides him from the public eye. the birds shriek, in sync with the light patters of the prince's boots. "your highness!" shouts from stern voices can be heard through the forest, startling the prince.

"oh goodness. oh dear. what will we tell the king?" one of the maids had spoken, voice as crisp and clear as the prince heaves to a stop to eavesdrop. "we'll find him. he must've gone deeper into the woods. i'll head east, you head west." the knight spoke with starkness, a juxtaposition with the maid's worried voice.

after a few moments of silence, the prince begins to once again run within the forest. he had memorized this woodland like it was the back of his hand, so getting the maid and knight out of his tail would be easy. he couldn't stop. not even if the array of blues and pinks of the cotton candy skies falls before him and the moon rises with the starry dark umbra, and the outskirts of leaves that grasps onto him.

not even if a pair of deep forest eyes adhere to every step he had taken, with the hidden intentions that can only be disseminate through will. the forest was opaque but a simple cursed energy was all it took for transparency to be willed. as the night goes on to drain the luminosity of the wild, the pretty little prince has taken a much awaited rest. a mangled dress and a pitiful façade, he grins with triumphant as his plan was going perfectly. although the plan of disguising himself as a common maid has failed miserably, he had still escaped with the higher ground.

he looks to the east and west, the moon scintillates with a bright hollow glow of silver within his ( color ) eyes. the stark resemblance of his mother's benign eyes, to which he wishes he could see one last time. the comforting and lulling irises that would've alleviate his current detrimental frame of mind. his eyes wander the forest like a hawk in day light, scouting for any knights or spies that would sabotage his great escape.
