I opened my eyes.

I was confused upon seeing the pure white walls surrounding me. I was not facing the windows directly, but I could tell that it was the setting sun that was the source of the light peeping through my windows.

The room was unfamiliar. It is certainly not mine. 'Di ko alam kung bakit ako nandito. There was also no else aside from me inside the room. By this time, I realized na nasa hospital na pala ako.

I could tell because of the smell—the one I hated the most. I don't exactly like hospitals now. They remind me of one of the most heartbreaking moments in my life.

Unti-unti akong bumangon mula sa pagkakahiga hanggang sa nakasandal na ang likuran ko. When I got a clearer view of everything, I noticed a few patches on my leg. May mga sugat ako.

Doon ko na lang naalala ang lahat.

Nakakahiya.

"Did I really... pass out?" I asked myself, scratching the back of my head. I already knew the answer, but I still couldn't believe it.

Flashbacks played inside my head. Nawalan pala ako ng malay habang naglalakad sa kalsada. Masakit kasi ang ulo ko dahil hangover at wala akong tulog the night before. Actually, even the nights before that. I got busy studying for the MidTerms to the point na lagi na lang na kulang ang tulog ko.

Also, about last night, I believe I couldn't sleep because of him.

And speaking of him, I have to meet him pala ngayon! Gosh! Magkikita pala dapat kaming dalawa ni Kylo para mag-usap!

I saw my phone on the table beside me so I quickly took it to check the time. "Almost 5 PM na!"

I was panicking. I didn't know what to do. Our plan was to meet at around 3:30 PM at a coffee shop. I'm almost two hours late na and kinakabahan na 'ko dahil baka pagdating ko ay wala na siya!

Nag-type ako sa cellphone ko at sinend iyon sa kaniya.

Lauvien:

Ky, I'm so sorry! Something came up lang. Are you still there? Tuloy pa rin ba tayo? I'm really sorry!

I turned off my phone. Tumayo muna ako sa hospital bed at inayos ang damit ko. It was a good thing that they didn't change my clothes. Nag-ayos lang ako dahil aalis na agad ako the moment I get a reply from him.

Nagpabalik-balik ako sa kwarto. Hindi ako mapakali!

Parang gusto ko na lang na tumakas mula rito. I don't even know who brought me to the hospital! Parang gusto ko na lang na mag-iwan ng handwritten note na 'wag na nila akong hanapin kapag nawala ako.

But no, that would be too negligent!

I was in the middle of contemplating whether I should go or not when suddenly, the door opened.
