FORTY-NINE

"oh yes! you brought him!" my mom squealed, going to him and throwing her arms around him.

I giggled before speaking "told ya!" i walked into the house, hugging the rest of my family and ending with zoey "hi cutie" I cooed

"what are you? like seven months now?" i asked zoey in a baby voice

"she sure is" aubrey confirmed

"she's growing so fast" bradly spoke "but give the baby back so I can talk to you about something"

I cooed the baby once more before gently passing her back to aubrey. daniel was dragged into the kitchen by my mom. while the twins were still at school. waiting for there surprise.

"so I know when I'm going to ask" bradly said, once we made it outside

"you do? when?!" I excitedly asked

"zoey is turning one in july and we're going to baptist her on her birthday" bradly explained "we have it scheduled and everything" he added "um before I tell you when, aubrey and I have talked and we noticed that you and daniel seem to be getting closer"

"bradly" I said

"wait, just wait, you don't need to tell. you don't need to have pressure. because if things don't work out. we have it covered. but when it does work out, because I have it seems like it. i want you to bring it up to him. both of us do" he explained

"okay, yeah, sure" I agreed "now the date!" I excitedly asked

"there's two dates, either october twenty second the day I officially moved in with aubrey" he said "or june third, the first time I said I loved her"

"of this year?" i questioned

"oh no" he shook his head "I mean if I feel ready when october rolls around then maybe. i know I have the ring but we've been dating for a year. although I've known her a lot longer" he explained

"hey, at least you knocked duo someone you knew" I joked, and received a punch on my shoulder "rude!" I yelled, with a smile on my face

"do you think it's too soon?" he asked

"listen, I just know it's going to happen so don't worry about not moving fast enough with a kid. I know that both of you want your kids to have a happy and married family. but also love doesn't really have a time" I said "it's the strength of it, not how long you've known them"

"you know, I wish you took your own advice" he chuckled

"oh shut up, I technically did" I admitted "when I said I love you, when I said it more than once. I thought if it was too soon because we're not dating" I explained "but then I realized, that's how I felt, that's how I still feel. so why not just say it" I shrugged

"you remember what mom said? about marriage?" he asked

"yes, I remember not what just mom said but what everyone said" i said

"I think she might be right" he admitted "aubrey and I are finding a love, you and daniel are rekindling it"

"yeah, heard that once or twice, rekindle" I explained "but how about we get inside and help set up this surprise birthday?"
