  Thank you for the idea!

And I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense. This us the first time I'll ever write a oneshot like this.

!Contains Sour x Fresh and fluff!

Geno and Sugar were best friends for years now. Today was Geno's 15th birthday. It had been four years since he was released from hospital and was healthy. He decided to call his best friend, Sugar over for his birthday.

On the other hand, Sour and Fresh were also close. Not that much, but still. Fresh had gained a trust on Sour since he helped Geno five years earlier, on Sour and Sugar's birthday. He first thought that Sour was some kind of a bully, but after seeing him help Geno, he understood that it was a misconception.

Since the two best friends were living far away from each other, it took quite the time to get to one's home. Until eventually, they were at Geno's birthday after a car drive which took more than two hours. But now, they could have fun at this amazing birthday!

The door was opened to Sugar, Sour and their mom by Geno, smiling excitedly. He laughed a bit. Then began talking.

"Welcome! Good ta see you all here!"

Sugar also laughed before talking. He put his hand on Geno's head and patted it.

"We could never miss your birthday, Geno!"

Geno slid to the door's left, revealing the decorated house to them, and wanting them to come in. Sour was not the person to be interested by these kind of stuff, by seeing how cool the house was decorated, he couldn't hide his awe. Almost everywhere was decorated. Walls, stairs, lamps...

When Sour looked down, he saw a familiar face with 'YOLO' glasses on. He wore a purple-yellow-pink jacket that had blue splashed with a green t-shirt in it. He also had neon orange pants. He looked... cute...

"Ey, Brahs!Good ta see ya'll here! Wassup on dis rad day?" Fresh asked once he saw the two bros by the door.

Sour couldn't help but smile even more at the little 'cheerful' skeleton tight in front of him. Sugar was still as excited as ever. The older skeletons' mother went to the kitchen after greeting to two kids to also greet Crayon.

Behind her, Sugar and Sour followed. Geno closed the door behind them and walked to them.

"We are in my room for now. Come on!" He said as he pointed upstairs.

"Okay then. Let's go!" Sugar exclaimed as he held Geno's hand and ran upstairs, leaving Fresh and Sour behind. The two watched them go, then chuckled to themselves.

"Let's go." Sour said. For some reason, he couldn't stop smiling when Fresh was around. Fresh nodded and went upstairs with the taller behind him.

Error and Ink were in Geno's room with their casual clothes. Error didn't like Sour that much, neither did Sour like Error. Gladly, they weren't hating each other. That was relieving.

Ink had known Sour and Sugar for a good two years. They have always came all the way to the three skeletons' birthdays since the incident that happened years ago.

"Let's start the fun, now that you guys are also here!" Ink shouted in excitement.

It had been one hour already. When those people were together, the time always slipped away. Because they always had fun. Decans wasn't allowed to go to Geno's birthday party since he was sick. Not that,  he had the flu ( I dunno). So Fresh hanged out with Sour the most. Playing video games was fun. They also talked about their brothers and such.

As the time went away, Fresh somehow started to feel... closer to Sour. The was he laughed at the jokes that he made was... pretty warm to him.

When it was the time to eat the cake, Fresh was already tired. He didn't know why. Maybe it was because he couldn't sleep last night. He was overthinking about the words Error said to him. They had yet another fight. This didn't have any punches due to Error's promise to Geno that fights will not be physical. So he stayed up all night, thinking about what those words were supposed to mean and if Error really meant to say all these to him.

Therefore, Fresh was yawning while singing Geno the happy birthday song. He had lost his appetite as well, so he refused to say anything. As normal, he was sitting next to Sour. Sensing that Fresh wasn't acting normal, he decided to ask him.

  "Dude, are you okay?"

Fresh looked at him, his glasses blank because of the lack of concentration. He made a 'Huh?' sound before yawning again. Sour repeated his sentence, this time, sounding concerned.

  "Are you okay?"

Fresh nodded, his eye sockets closing slowly under his shades, wanting to go to sleep. He had to avoid it, though. Wouldn't it be rude to sleep when there were guests who came all the way here?

After the little feast was over, it was time for presents. Sugar always had the best of present ideas. So he also chose Sour's gift. Error, being the second oldest brother in the family, got to be the one to give the gift he had bought for Geno. Then came Fresh, Ink, Sugar and Sour. The two moms and Uncle Asy were going to give next.

Fresh sat in front of the sofa, watching people give their gifts to Geno and making him happy. The last person he saw was Sour. He then saw him walk towards the sofa he was sitting in front of. Sour came and sat down next to him, crossing his arms. He knew that something was off with Fresh. Without making eye contact, he spoke again.

"I think you are lying to me, Fresh. I don't like people who lie. Tell me what is bothering you. Now."

Fresh was amused. He thought he hid it pretty well. Even if he didn't, he thought that nobody would bother to ask. He didn't deserve love. He didn't deserve care. He didn't deserve attention. And now here, Sour was asking what was bothering him. Why did he care? Why did he want to know?

The colorful skeleton couldn't help but notice the warmness inside his chest whenever Sour spoke. It felt so nice. It felt real. It felt relaxing and comfortable. This was the thing he had always wanted to have.

Apparently, it took too long for Fresh to say something. He was lost in the thought of the pleasure of this new feeling. Sour finally had it and turned his head to the smaller, only to snatch his still blank shades off of his face. Under his shades was a tired face which had a slight hint of blush. Under his eye sockets were dark circles that made him look miserable. His eyelights were slightly... bigger. It didn't feel so empty anymore to look at his eye sockets.

Sour blushed a slight green as well, as his expression changed into a more friendly way.

"Fresh..." He said, careful not to make the others hear.

Fresh looked away. Sour wasn't supposed to see behind his shades. He wasn't supposed to see his face and have that worried expression on his face like that.

Before Fresh could think any more of this, he felt a hand on his head. Then he felt the warmth of something on his skull and body. He looked over to his sides to see what was happening. Fresh blushed more as he saw the position that he was in.

Back of his skull was on Sour's chest/ribcage.  Fresh was able to hear Sour's soul beating in a slightly faster than normal beat. On the other hand, Sour was rubbing delicate rubs on top of Fresh's skull which made Fresh feel lightheaded.

"I don't wanna see you like this again. Understood?" Sour said, trying to sound though.

Fresh nodded, unable to think anything else. The rubs, the beat of Sour's soul and the taller's warmth was just so good. Fresh had never felt this warmth physically in his entire life. It felt really good.

For once in his life, he felt truly safe.
