Part 3: Chapter 5

We ran all the way to where the cops went and followed them to U-7. Selene and I stayed hidden from the humans and waited for them to leave so we could go in. As I climbed up, I looked behind me to make sure no one was following us. I saw no one and decided to follow after my sister. We landed on the bottom and went exploring the area. As we were walking I couldn't help but feel uneasy and place my hand on my sword. We walked over to plastic crates and sat in wait as we heard footsteps echoing in the tunnels. We waited for a few minutes when a man rolled over the top and landed in front of Selene's gun and I placed my dagger at his neck. He looked at Selene then me and when he looked at me, something clicked. His dark brown eyes were piercing, to say the least, if it wasn't for the fact that we didn't know whether to trust him or not, I think I might have actually blushed. He held his hands up in surrender before he spoke in a deep English accent that almost made me shudder. "Don't"

Hot or not, I will protect my family. "Why not?" I asked as a pressed my blade harder onto his throat.

He looked at me and my glowing eyes before he made his eyes glow. "We're the same," he told us before looking at Selene. She nodded to me and uncocked her gun and lowered it while I put my blade down.

"Why were you following us?"Selene asked.

"We monitor the police frequencies"

This confused me. I thought most of our kind was extinct. "We?" I question making him look back at me. When he did I kept my breathing steady and my face neutral.

"Do you two know what attacked that human under the bridge?" he asked gesturing his head to where we came from.

I shook my head while Selene answered. "No" before we heard growling. 'Great' I thought. "Lycans," Selene said with a distaste

"What remains of them. Yes." He looked between the two of us before settling on Selen. "They've been hiding down here like rats ever since the Purge" Selene looked at me. "Deceased and starving. They rarely show themselves above ground. Which means that something has got them riled up." I looked down thinking of Michael but for some reason, my gut is saying it's not him. I mean even in beast mode, he doesn't attack unless provoked. This is different. When I looked back up I saw the man staring at me. " Something you two aren't telling me." We stared at each other until we all heard whines and growls coming closer. I got my dagger in a defensive position and watched as each of the Lycans scurried by us. As they did I had more images flashing through my head.

I guess Selene saw something as well for she was panting hard. Her eyes grew in fear and she shot up saying "Michael!" I got after her and got ready to help defend Michael. We went around two corners before seeing the Lycans. I ran straight for them while Selene just kept shooting. I slid to my knee and angeled my blade to take out their leg. The other two tried to get me but every time they reached out to me I sliced the tips of their fingers off. Selene kept firing and managed to kill one and the other two fled for safety. I got off of my knees and looked into the darkroom the Lycans were trying to get in and what I saw shocked me. The images weren't coming from Michael but from a little girl who was curled up in a corner shaking like a leaf, obviously scared. Selene looked at her shocked which I could understand but I wouldn't let the poor girl freeze.

I pulled off my jacket and walked into the room when I heard the man's footsteps come closer. "Do you know her?" He asked Selene. I just ignored him and my sister as I got closer to the girl.

When I got closer to her, she lifted her head to me. I gave her a soft smile. "Hello," I greeted. "My name is Iris. I'm not going to hurt you." I opened my jacket to her. "Here, you look like you're going to freeze son. I hope this warms you up." She stayed quiet and just looked at me scared at first but warmed up to me a bit.

"Iris. We need to go" Selene called to me. I nodded understanding. "We're not leaving her here."

I turned to the girl. "She's right. We do need to go. Don't worry. We'll protect you" I covered her with the jacket and offered her my hand. She grabbed it gently and I helped her to her feet before we all took off in a speedy walk. I kept my arms around her as we walked while the man and Selene, kept guard.

The man looked around us "Come on" He told Selene, the girl, and I as we walked around the corner. As we were walking, I noticed that the girl seemed malnourished and like she was drugged. We followed the man out of the building and to a small parking lot. "Let's try the van," he told us as he led us to an old van in the parking lot. He brought the girl and me to the back of the van in a rush and opened the door before lightly pushing us in. "Get in. Move" he told us while he was pushing us in. As he was pushing me in, I could have sworn that I felt him graze my ass. I wasn't worried about that at the moment because of how frightened the girl was so I kept quiet about it. Once I got in, I wrapped the girl in my arms to calm her down some.

Selene and the man got into the van and of course, my sister being as crafty as she is hot-wired the van by jamming a knife into the ignition and cranking up the van before speeding off. I gently placed the girl farther into the back of the van and got my two daggers out to get ready for a fight. "It's going to be ok, sweetie. We'll protect you."

The man looked through the back window. "There are three of them behind us." Selene picked up her speed and accidentally swerved into an oncoming vehicle causing the van jerk around

"Shit! Selene, I know you haven't driven in a while but you could have been a bit more careful, we have a child back here!" I yelled at her as I checked on the girl. "Are you ok?" she nodded. I went to the window to see what was going on and saw that the girl followed me. I looked at her and saw how scared she was. I was about to have her move back when I saw one of the Lycans jump towards us. "SELENE!" I yelled out. She served the van but the lycan still got a hold on the van. Well for about a moment before it lost its grip and rolled down the street but we weren't out of the woods yet for there was one more coming after us. I gently pushed the child away from the window. "Stay down and stay in the center ok? It's about to get a bit rough." Just after I said that I felt the weight of a lycan on the top of the van. The girl grips her hands around my arm.

As I was trying to guard the girl from possibly getting attacked by the lycan on top of the van when the man yelled "GO" causing Selene to slam on the gas lunging us forward. I was able to stay balanced when lycan that was on the roof of the van opened the side door causing the girl to scream out in fear.

"Hurry, Selene. They're getting in the back" the man yelled at my sister. When the lycan reached out to us, I sliced his arm off causing him to draw back, screaming at the top of its lungs. It jumped into the back with the girl and I and then pounced onto me, knocking my dagger out of my hand. I held it as far back as I could while the girl screamed but I was still too weak and my arm buckled a bit but it was enough for it to backhand me so hard I hit the side of the van. As I was trying to come back to my senses, I could hear the girl scream and the growling from the lycan as it bit her as well as yelling from the man and the sound of rapid gunshots from Selene's gun. I tried to grab my dagger when a clear image ran through my head. A lycan being ripped apart. I looked to the girl and saw her tearing apart the lycan like it was made of paper. When I finally saw her face I was stunned, to say the least. She looked like Michael when he transformed but her skin was lighter than his. Then it hit me. 'She's my niece.' I thought to myself

~Hello my little rabbits and mad hatters. Here we are. We have David and Eve. I have to say I am going to be adding a lot of stuff to this movie because of the fact that this movie has as many holes in it like swiss cheese. I mean geez, I don't even remember David introducing himself properly or anything and I double-checked it. So I have my work cut out for me. It is literally 2 in the morning where I am at the moment so please know that when I say. "I love you" I mean it. Anyway I'm going to bed. Good night my little rabbits and mad hatters.
