CHAOS THEORY.
TRUTH COMES OUT.─────
February 2015
Willow really had lost her sense of time at this point in the night. She had no idea how long she was in the mines, or how long her and Mike had spent climbing their way to the sanatorium and through it, and now she wasn't even sure how long the two of them had been wandering in the surprise tunnels that looked more like they belonged in a hotel than anything else.
Though it made sense given that there used to be a hotel mainly where the Lodge now stood. The place did use to be a resort of sorts.
But the underground network of tunnels just gave Willow even more bad vibes the longer they spent in them. Something felt off and Willow couldn't tell if it truly was off or just her viewpoint after the weird night she was having.
Willow was also trying to just not think about the feeling she got when her and Mike's faces were centimeters apart after the explosion. She recognized the feeling, but if she ignored it then it didn't matter. Getting a crush on Michael Munroe was not on her agenda tonight and not only that, but the timing was horrid. He just lost his girlfriend and their friends may or may not be in trouble and the two of them had no idea if they were even going the right way in the stupid tunnels.
"Turn there." Willow mumbled, pointing to the left. "I think we just came from the right so that would just be circling back."
Mike nodded.
Willow hugged herself as they wandered farther through the tunnels. She had been lost in thought, jumping between the mines, the psycho, the *possible* crush she had started forming, the safety of her friends, and how the hell to navigate the damn tunnels, for most of the night and she really just wanted the night over with. Getting lost in thought, Willow hadn't realized that Mike slowed down, causing her to bump into his back hard enough to hurt her nose.
"Ow." Willow whined softly, rubbing her nose.
Mike threw her an apologetic look over his shoulder before nodding to a small grate where they could see someone's bare legs.
Willow furrowed her brows as Mike slowly approached through the room they had reached. Willow looked around, it seemed like a bit of a dead-end, but one of the doors had to work. Right?
Keeping her eyes on Mike approaching the grate, Willow made her way closer to the door that seemed to be their only option. Grabbing the handle, Willow tugged softly, trying to open it. Sighing when it didn't budge, Willow jumped when a female yelped sounded.
Her eyes immediately landed on Mike, who had reached through the grate, only to see Sam's face pop up as she leaned down to look through the grate.
Willow let go of the breath she had been holding.
