Addison's POV

I got home from the headquarters after a few hours. I assumed dad was done talking to Bryce and Mr. Hall. I opened the doors and saw our guards passed out on the floor, injured. I quickly pulled out my gun and looked around for my dad.

I got to the living room and saw dad passed out on the floor and Bryce pointing a gun towards him. My heart shattered into a million pieces as I started crying. I slowly walked to him and he turned around. He threw the gun and got up and told me he could explain. Wtf will he explain now. Everything was clear and I knew what I had to do. I pulled the trigger and shot him.

He fell on the floor but I didnt care. I ran to my father and cried. I quickly called an ambulance and we drove to the hospital. My father's assistant came with me who was also injured.

The doctors took him into the operation theatre. After an hour, which felt like forever, the doctor came out and I ran to him

Addison: Doctor how's my father now

Doctor: Im sorry. We got all the bullets out of him but we couldn't save him

I backed up and hit a wall when I sat down. I felt numb

Addison: This is all my fault. My father is no more and its my fault! I should've never trusted Bryce. What will I do now? What will Amelie do now? What will I tell her?

All these thoughts took over me and I started bawling my eyes out.

Bryce's POV

I woke up and looked around. I was in the hospital

Bryce: Dad! Josh! Jaden!

I started shouting and Jaden and Josh entered my room.

Jaden: Bryce, we're sorry

Bryce: Sorry for what

They kept quiet

Bryce: Im asking again SORRY FOR WHAT

Josh: Mr. Hall passed away. He got shot by 4 bullets

They said and I started crying. Then I remembered about Addison

Bryce: Where's Addison

Josh and Jaden shrugged

Bryce: Please go find her. I have to talk to her immediately

Jaden: Ok ok Bryce but please calm down, you need rest

Josh: You also got shot and the bullet just passed your heart thankfully

Bryce: Please just find Addison

I said and they left

Addison's POV

I got home from the hospital. Amelie was at her friend's house. I didnt know how to tell her. I asked dad's assistant to clean up the house before Amelie gets here.

After a few hours Amelie came home. My eyes were puffy and red from crying. She saw me and hugged me

Amelie: Addi are you fine?

Addison: Am-amelie I have to tell you something

Amelie: Ok

I took her to my room and sat her down on my bed

Addison: Amelie what Im about to tell you will change your life forever but just know that I will always be here for you

Amelie: Addi you're scaring me

Addison: Dad

Amelie: What happened to him?!

Addison: He is no more

Amelie: WHAT NO NO ADDI IS THIS ONE OF UR STUPID JOKES? PLEASE TELL ME UR JOKING

Addison: No Amelie, Im not joking

She hugged me tightly and cried.

Addison: Im sorry

I said kissing her head

Amelie: But how did this all happen

Addison: Uhm dad was in a restaurant for a meeting. A guy shot him and robbed him

She hugged me again

Addison: Amelie?

Amelie: Yeah

Addison: I dont want to stay here anymore. Lets move to somewhere else

Amelie: Ok Addi. Whatever you want

Addison: Thank you

I said hugging her. She fell asleep in my arms. I layed her down on her bed, turned off the lights and left her room.

Addison: Mr. Sinclair? (Monty's assistant)

Mr. Sinclair: Yes Ma'am

I told him we will be moving from here tomorrow evening and to pack up everything. He nods

Mr. Sinclair: Ma'am should I come with you as well

I knew Mr. Sinclair was one of our oldest employees and dad would trust him with us so I agreed

Addison: Of course

I said and went to my room. I packed all my things and went to bed. I layed on the and hugged my pillow tightly and cried until I fell asleep.

--The next day--

I woke up and took a shower. I then went to Amelie's room and helped her pack her things. Then Mr. Sinclair called me outside

Addison: Yes?

Mr Sinclair: Ma'am everything is packed. I have closed down all our businesses and transferred all the money to your account.

Addison: Ok. I hope we can forget everything and start afresh

I said looking down

Mr. Sinclair: Yes dont worry ma'am. Everything will be fine

I nod and go just check everything one last time

Our flight was after 3 hours and we were all packed. I went to Amelie's room and saw her crying on her bed. I go to her and hug her

Addison: Amelie its going to be fine. Please dont cry

She gets up and wipes her tears

Amelie: Lets go Addi

She said smiling weakly, putting her hand forward. I took her hand and got up to. We looked around the house one last time then got in our car and drove off to the airport
