Bryce

Bryce and Hunt were sitting on the bed, eavesdropping on the screaming people below them, like the kind people they were, when another demon came flying in.

Their massive bedroom was equipped with a small balcony, which is where the demon came flying in.

'WHAT THE HELL!" Bryce yelled as she dodged out of the way out the demon's path. The demon collided with the bed, but didn't stop going after Bryce.

Bryce was already by the table when Hunt shouted, "Get behind me, dumbass!"

But Hunt had gone the other way to get out of the demon's way leaving Bryce defenseless.

"BRYCE!" Hunt yelled as Bryce narrowly missed the demon's claws, as she sidestepped the demon and ran over to Hunt.

"Why can't these demons fucking leave me along!" Ten seconds passed before Bryce added, "Where did you guys put my sword!" Bryce yelled at Hunt as Hunt just handed her a gun, and took out his own sword.

"We took it off when you got injured," Hunt yelled as Bryce didn't hesitate to shoot the demon. The sound of bullets firing echoed, as they hit demons.

The demon only shrieked in pain, but didn't stop it's pursuit.

"Fucking run, Bryce," Hunt yelled as he swiped his sword at massive winged demon.

Bryce did no such thing as she only continued to fire at the demon's eyes, until she was out of ammo.

Why isn't it dead.

Fucking demon.

Mor, Feyre, and another male, that Bryce didn't recognize, winnowed into the room, and instantly had weapons drawn.

Bryce didn't see a swipe of the demon's claws until it hit Bryce's torso.

Bryce cried out in pain, and could tell that the wound was deep.

Hunt growled, and chucked a concealed knife where the demon's heart would be.

As the demon shrieked in pain, Hunt immediately scooped out Bryce, and sprinted for the balcony.

His grey wings launched themselves into the air as soon as they got outside, as he left the others to deal with the demon.

Rhysand

Shit

Hunt flew off with Bryce, and Bryce severely injured.

But they would have to deal with whatever this thing was that was inside the house, first.

Aelin, Fenrys, Cassian, and Lucien came sprinting into the room weapons all drawn.

Fenrys and Aelin both froze at the sight of the demon that was already running for the balcony after Hunt and Fenrys.

The massive black demon launched itself into the sky, and Rhys didn't hesitate to sprint for the balcony ledge while he created his wings.

He turned his head to see that Cassian was right behind them as Rhys jumped off the balcony ledge flying after Bryce and Hunt.

Aelin

Aelin froze at the sight of the Ilken that was flying after Bryce and Hunt.

No.

Before Aelin could think twice Aelin ran out to the balcony ledge, where Rhys and another guy just launched themselves off of.

"YOU HAVE TO CUT OF THERE HEAD!" Aelin bellowed, praying that they weren't too far away to hear. "OR BURN THEM, TO KILL THEM!"

Shit, shit, shit.

Aelin knew that Bryce was injured enough that it warranted Hunt to fly off with Bryce.

But Ilken had poisonous claws, and Bryce would need to get help quickly.

The others just stood beside Aelin on the balcony, watching as the four dots in the sky became smaller.

"Shit," Fenrys murmured, as he stood beside Aelin. "That's an Ilken."

They had left Rowan on the wall, before sprinting up there.

"I'm going to go after them," a brown haired female Fae declared.

They didn't have time for names, because of the whole Amren--Deanna situation.

Does everyone have wings? Aelin thought to herself, as the female created her own set of bat-like wings.

"Don't you dare," Mor growled as she watched her friends chase after each other. "They can handle one creature." Aelin didn't trust them, or know them well, but they offered sanctuary and protection to these other strangers from a different world. And no one deserved to die at the hands of an Ilken.

"What's going on?" Rowan called as he limped into the bedroom, and made for everyone standing on the porch.

"Sit down you bastard. You're going to make your leg even worse trying to walk on it, I don't even know how you made it up the stairs," Aelin growled as Rowan still limped over to them.

"Never mind, they can still handle three of them," Mor reassured herself more than the others, as Aelin whipped her head around to see two other Ilken shoot up from the ground to fly towards a set of grey wings.

Hunt and Bryce were flying straight for the ocean, probably so they could unleash their magic and not worry about the city below.

"Shit, this isn't good," Mor said, as another two Ilken came flying out of the city and after Hunt and Bryce.

Aelin could vaguely make out Rhys destroying one of them, before flying to catch up to Cassian who was going after the four other Ilken on Hunt's and Bryce's.

"Are those--" Rowan started, as he walked out onto the balcony.

"Yep," Aelin answered, knowing he was going to say Ilken.

Rowan swore colorfully.

"What are they?" Feyre demanded her eyes still watching her mate, as they traveled farther away.

"They're called Ilken, they're creatures from another world. A couple of years ago they showed up in ours and went around killing a bunch of people," Aelin stated.

That was the very simplified version of it. But Ilken was created by Erawan himself. They should've all been destroyed when Erawan died.

Aelin could make out another winged person come out of Velaris, and fly out to them. But this person didn't look to be Ilken.

"Thank the gods for Azriel," Mor breathed, as the person indeed had the same kind of wings as Rhys and the other male.

"No," the brown haired Fae breathed, as Aelin saw it just as she did.

Two arrows went flying at Rhys's wings from behind, and as he fought against an Ilken.

The arrows pierced each wing as Rhys started to fall into the ocean below him.
