Feyre

Here we go again. I hate these guys, Feyre told Rhys down the bond.

Who doesn't, Rhys grumbled as they winnowed into the Court of Nightmares.

Amren, Lucien, Elain, and Nesta had all stayed back in Velaris with Delcan, Nesryn and Hunt. But they decided to move to The House of Wind for added protection, since no one could winnow in, and the guard had just taken Bryce.

But Feyre could think Bryce later. She had to be focused on being the High Lady of the Night Court for the now.

You ready? Rhys asked as they walked up the stairs to the two thrones.

Their guests stayed back by Mor, Cassian and Azriel.

As ready as I'll ever be, Feyre said as they sat down on their thrones.

Everyone immediately bowed. Every except for Aelin, Rowan, Fenrys, Ruhn and Flynn.

Their standing earned them more than a few stares. But all of their faces remained bored.

Good. They know how to put up an act.

"Rise," Rhys ordered as everyone did what they were told.

Mor had given Aelin and the others the rundown of what they shouldn't do. Which is to say, just stand there and don't cause a problem.

Rhys's power echoed through the room as he drew, "Keir. Why exactly have you demanded that we come here at the last minute," as Keir stepped to the front.

Feyre just gave him a sly smile, "I don't believe demanding such things from your High Lord and Lady is permissible."

Can we kill him? Feyre added.

I'm waiting for Mor's blessing. Once we get that, then yes. He'll get a slow death.

"I'm sorry if it caused you any inconvenience," Keir said smoothly, staring into Rhys's violet eyes. He wasn't in the least bit sorry. "But it seems that you have been housing foreigners."

It was an effort for Feyre's eyes to not drift to where Aelin and the others stood. No one uttered a word.

"And what of it?" Rhys inquired. "I must admit Keir, I didn't think you cared who I spent my time with."

Sure we can't kill him now? Feyre asked.

I fucking wish.

"The High Lord of the Autumn Court has asked me to see that you return them to him. As it seems that some of them entered through his territory and threatened him," Keir stated, holding their gaze without blinking.

Rhys just offered him a smile. "Playing dog now for Beron, I see?"

 Keir snarled.

"He's demanded that you hand them to him. Or at least the ones that entered through his territory," Keir sneered.

Feyre was very aware that everyone was listening to their conversation carefully.

"Oh trust me I know. He even sent one of his sons to our humble abode," Rhys mused with a sly smile.

"Fortunately for Beron," Feyre added with an equally disconcerting smile. "Eris only left with a knife in his arm."

Keir didn't even blink. "He's demanding that you give them to him. And it doesn't seem like it would be too much of a problem, considering that you brought some of them with you here."
