As we were going down the stairs we finally reached the end. We walked through a creepy old looking corridor none of us saying a word, I started hearing something from a distance so I stopped walking and everyone turned to look at me
Isaac: what's wrong?
You: cant you hear that?
They all stayed silent trying to hear what I was hearing
Jake: sounds like voices
Liam: and someone crying
Scott: we cant get distracted, remember; wendigos can mimic voices meaning it can sound like you, me and anyone we know. Dont let them fool you
Jake: do any of you realise we came down here without a plan? Like where are we gonna go and what are we supposed to do if we do find something?
Liam: he's right. Things can go so wrong, we should have thought this through
Scott: theres no going back now guys, we'll be ok
We continue walking through corridors
Liam: uh guys..
We all turned to look at Liam in concern
Liam: where's Jake?
My eyes widened as I realized Jake wasn't with us
I was about to yell for him but Scott covered my mouth
Scott: are you insane?!
You: Jake's missing!
Scott: you'll get us all killed if you shout!
You: what if I dont shout he's the one that will die!
Isaac: stop freakin yelling!
He whisper shouted at us
Scott sighed
Scott: let's look around for him
We started looking around the corridors as quietly as possible. My stomach feels like its eating itself away with worry. I will never forgive myself if something happens to Jake.
After a couple minute I felt like we weren't alone and I think they all felt it since we stopped in our tracks
We stayed silent and heard wendigos screeching quite close to us and coming closer fast
Isaac: shit
Liam: what are we gonna do now?!
You: I think I've got an idea!
Liam: well you better hurry up then before we're wendigo chow!
You: Scott, remember the anasazi symbols from the book deaton gave me?
Scott: yeah but I dont remember what they were
Liam: what the hell are anasazi symbols??
You: if you draw the symbols in a circle and stay in that circle you basically become invisible to wendigos
Isaac: well then what are we waiting for!?
You: I think I remember some of them but I need something, something sharp
There wasn't anything I could use at the moment so I just used my fangs and cut my hand so blood started coming out, since I heal fast I need to hurry up
Liam: w-what are you doing!?
You: I need to draw them and there isn't anything I can draw them with down here so I'm using blood
