Chapter 7 : the virus (part 2)

POV Elisa

We arrive at the adress that Liam gave us, but there is nothing, not a single house, just a caravan. But Mac tells us that a caravan can content a cold storage unit and that we surely found his mobile lab. Liam informs us that he get a satellite on our position and thermic imaging confirms no heat signatures inside, but the virus can be there.

Elisa : So our doctor isn't in there, but the stolen virus might be.

Jack : Which is exactly why I don't think it's such a good idea for us just to go charging in there right now.

Eléa : Agreed. There is no way that old beat-up caravan has the level biocontainment this virus requires.

Mac : Yeah, the interior may be completely contaminated, but we don't have time to wait for a hazmat team. So put your big boy pants on because we're going in.

Mac take masks so that we can breathe breathable air and gives us one each. Then, we come in the caravan who's probably going to kill us, unless it is Mac or Eléa, maybe both who's going to kill us before the virus. Once entered, we see the cold storage unit but it's empty, the virus isn't in there. In the sink, I find a lot of document half burned, but we especially find his passport burned.

Jack : His passport ? So-so it's possible that the good doctor now has a new name and identity ? Should we even be in here ? Eléa, my skin looking clammy ? 

Eléa (to joking) : A little.

Jack (worried) : What about around the eyes ? 

Eléa (still joking) : Oh, terrible.

Jack (still worried) : Seriously ? 

Mac : All right, that's enough. Jack, you're fine. Eléa, stop egging him on.

We stop and we find a vial in the sink but she's broken and unfortunately, it's not the virus. But on the table, there is a computer, I open it and turn it on and fortunately for us, it's not protect by a password and there is a video running. In this video, we see Lukas talking about a Jeffrey and asking apologize for what he's about to do.

Jack : Who's Jeffrey ?

Elisa : According to his file, Jeffrey is his brother back in Roumania. 

Jack : So Lukas wants to go to Roumania to do what, bond with his brother over releasing a deadly viral plague ?

Eléa : Can't be that. Jeffrey died in a mining accident a few months ago ... Lukas' going to Roumania, but no clue why.

Mac (showing us the rest of the video) : Guys, look. He's wasn't using this vial to burn the virus. He was preparing. 

Jack : And that's the start of the zombie apocalypse. Good day, gentlemen.

Eléa : Jack, relax. There's a 24 hours incubation period between when the subject becomes infected and then contagious.

Jack (pissed off and anxious) : How am I supposed to relax ? We got less than a day to find this Lukas dude and keep him from being patient zero in a epidemic that will kill millions.

Mac : Not if we get to Roumania first and find him.

POV Jack 

We land in Roumania but nobody saw this Lukas dude and the surveillance camera didn't give anything. We find Mac and Eléa, they're always together this two. Then, Mac starts running to the toilets, we follow him, he's looking for something but like always he don't say anything to us until he finds what he was looking for. In this case, it's a backpack with beard hair and hair dye lotion to blond. So, he doesn't has the same face at all.
