IT'S TRUE!!!
The revered one believed in Non-dualistic Vedanta (The soul and supersoul are not different.) And hence supported the ideas of अहम् ब्रह्मास्मि [I am Bhagwaan.] or तत्त्वमसि [I am that. (Bhagwaan)]
The awesome one's teaching were similar to the shloka:
ॐ पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदं पूर्णात्पूर्णमुदच्यते ।
पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते ॥
ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः ॥
(The shloka is found in Ishavasya Upanishad. It's meaning, I shall explain indepth in my upcomimg book about Shri Adi Shankaracharya. Trust me, one can just go on explaining this shloka and there is no end... )
Besides being an ocean of knowledge and the seer of Supreme truth, he was also a great Bhakta (Many see him only as a Gnāni. But this is wrong.)
By his compositions, you might have known that he has created amazing devotional songs for Lord Shiva, Devi Parvati, Lord Krishna, etc.
Not only for them, he has to his credit songs composed for Devi Lakshmi, River Ganga, River Narmada, etc. as well!!!
One might be totally mesmerised... and anyone who reads about Shri Adi Shankaracharya would not deny this.
