His grip on my upper arm didn't let up until we reached the elevator, and I was extremely thankful the eccentric old man has stepped out on level one with his suitcase. Hunter didn't speak, he looked straight ahead at the glistening doors, his jaw set and his arms crossed along his chest.

I couldn't help but steal a glance at him from under my eyelashes and his eyes darkened as he looked down at me. My mind rushed to the thoughts of my mindless dream, his gaze up at me from his position between my legs. I had to squeeze my thighs tighter together when he smirked down at me. The door game to a halt at my floor and I was more than a little disappointed, I was enjoying my ogling.

It only took me a moment to unlock the hotel room door and for him to quickly follow me in. He looked furious, his eyebrows scrunched together as he thought, obviously about Michael being his next target.

"Hunter", I squeaked out and I wanted to combust when his dark gaze met mine. "How did you hear it, are you stalking me?" I didn't know if it was the alcohol making me funny or if I just told a very inappropriate joke but I laughed loudly.

"You dialled me, and after a while I could hear you two talking", he raised his eyebrow as if apologetic but also unashamed of his eavesdropping, cursed smart phones.

"It's still not right to eavesdrop", I stood up to him and walked closer, my head buzzing with this new founded confidence.

"If I feel you're in danger of course it's alright, he assaulted you", he didn't touch me although our bodies where extremely close. I could feel his breath fan down between us.

"He's never killed anyone", I retorted and stepped back a fraction beware of his reaction, and I couldn't take back my words.

"That's a low blow Nora, and you know it", his eyes darkened but he didn't have any other signs to show me that he was that angry.

"That's all over now Hunter, he's probably too much of a wimp to hurt me now, but yours only happened a few days ago", I stepped forward expecting him to move back but he stood his ground, seeming a lot taller than me now.

"Have I ever threatened you", he dragged out the reference to me as if to prove it to me. His face came closer to mine but we still did not touch.

I manage to squeak out a no, now feeling my confidence slip away with the passing sun. He grabbed my chin harshly and moved my face almost an inch from his, "Your damn right I haven't, and nor will I ever, remember that duchess". He pulled me so that our lips came together in an audible smack and the rush I felt nearly made my legs give way.

I couldn't help the moan when his hand fisted in my hair to pull me harder against his body. His other hand made short work of the zipper at my back, and soon his hand was roaming the curve just above my backside. His teeth sunk into my neck which made me tug harder at the roots of his hair earning me a deep growl that I could feel reverberate through me. His hands moved down as did his lips. When his mouth reached just above my breasts he picked me up with such ease that it felt like I was just a rag doll.

With the rounded point of his shoe he kicked the door of my bedroom open and then shut. I was on the bed less than a second later, and his shirt on the floor the second after that. He moved his attention south and let his lips, his tongue and his teeth follow the path my dress was making as it was pulled off.

"Nora?" at first I thought it was Hunter, but it was much louder and sounded more like a woman. He leaped from me, and stood to find his button up shirt.

"Give me a second Mother?" I screamed through the door and I thanked the almighty above that Hunter had shut the door on our entrance in here.

"Can't catch a break", he pulled me up from the bed and into a kiss. I felt his meaning against my hip and I groaned when he moved away.

"Help me zip up?" I whispered now aware of the unwanted visit I had come from my all too nosy mother. He licked his lips at question and when I turned I got not just his hands but his mouth moving up my back, sending my skin to scalding climates.

His arm moved to wrap around me, his hand gripping mine. "See what your mother wants, be quick", a deep shiver ran down my spine and he kissed just below my ear before releasing me.

"Sorry Mother, I was just in the bathroom", I smiled politely as I made sure to shut the bedroom door behind me. She raised her eyebrow but nonetheless smiled back at me.

"Oh darling, Michael called me in such a fit and said you seemed upset and I should come around", she sat down and immediately made herself at home. He knew exactly what he was doing; he didn't like the idea of Hunter, that's what it was, bastard.

"No, I am completely fine, you see", I gave a dramatic twirl and laughed hoping she would just take it and leave.

"I am so glad, he had me extremely worried about you darling, my goodness I always worry", her eyes crinkled at the sides and I saw a glimpse of tears build in the corner of her eyes.

"Why would you worry I'm fine", I sat opposite her on the all too comfy couch, if this didn't end soon I was going to fall asleep.

"Well you moved half way across the world and you don't accept any money I send you to help", she looked extremely upset and although I was hoping this was going to be quick, I knew it wasn't.

"I have enough money, and I have Ana for support too, we are safe and happy if it counts", she smiled and wiped an escaped tear.

"I'm glad to hear that honey, but I also worry you aren't getting yourself out there", she paused for a moment as I prepared myself. "I scheduled tonight because I thought maybe you and Michael would be extremely good together, but he has a girlfriend apparently". I nearly scoffed and at that point I really wished I could drag Hunter out and shove it in her face.

"I don't need help getting men or become a socialite mother, I can do that on my own you know?" she smiled sweetly but I wasn't buying any of it. She wanted me to marry into money as she did, make me known: I think I would rather have a certain gang member.

'I'm just looking out for my youngest, Christian seems now to have everything set for himself, but what about you?", I nearly laughed at her reference to my brother being set, he was always the most rebellious of us all.

"I'm nearly four years into my course at college and I have a home, food, friends, what more do I need?" I raised my eyebrow and she scoffed.

"Well a name for yourself would be one, yes in the medicine scene soon maybe", she waved her hand and tried to move away her minimal idea of the medical field, "but for now it would have to be something else, when I was your age I met your father".

"Well you got me out of that so that's good", I laughed but she seemed determined to keep the tone serious.

"Nora, darling, I always worry if you'll be the one who won't settle down, be the workaholic, it's not healthy you know", I nodded in a matter of fact 'yes mother' scowl. "You were always so much like your father in your goals".

"Can we please not worry about this now", I rolled my eyes and scowled down at my crossed hands. She had interrupted something and right now I was determined to get her to leave.

"I'm just being your mother, I always worry about you after that accident you had when you were younger, when you flew off your bike down that ledge", she sighed and I sunk into myself at the thought of her not knowing.

"How can I forget that, I'm fine really, how about lunch tomorrow?" she beamed at me and I mentally tried to remember if I had anything to do.

"Sounds lovely sweetheart, I'll see you then", she hugged me for what seemed like forever and kept saying how thankful she was I was fine until I managed to shut the door on her exit.

I let my forehead fall against the door and audibly sighed. I felt Hunter grab my wrist and tug me around and he looked angered but his eyes showed some source of sorrow which comforted me slightly. "You never told your parents?" I then presumed that was night over for a continuation.
