'I made all the calls you asked for ma'am, we heard back from all the people we send invitations to, the show is on tonight!', here goes my assistant cooking up my ears just as I entered the building.
'Great Brianna', we entered my office
'and ma'am that new girl is here, should I send her in?'
'no and bring me coffee please', I sat on my chair looking up through the new files
'but ma'am she has been waiting for you' she said in a lowered voice, I gave her a no-means-no look which made her run away (thank god)
I relaxed my eyes and pictured how happy mother would be to see me take over W just as she was about to give me a hug I heard a knock
'can I have a minute with you?', said a new face with blonde hair
'your good name?', I asked
'Hi I'm Sydney sparks' she entered in raising a handshake 'this is my first job in New York and believe me-'
'who allowed you to come in?', I asked with a straight face
'I- a I'm sorry, she stepped backwards to the door 'may I come in?'
'sure', I gave her a tiny smile taking my glasses off 'so Sydney what are you best at?'
'um I have some great ideas for W', she said in with an excitement looking face 'plus I can introduce you to some buyers and sponsors for which I also have some ideas for' she took out a file
'okay miss ideas, you can discuss your bag of ideas with Steve he looks into all of that', I said by relaxing my shoulders on the chair
'yes I know but please hear this out', her voice got disappointing
