(Y/N)'s POV:

After dropping the packages in Republic City, we left shortly after. I left a small huff, not getting to explore the city where all benders and non-benders from all nations lived in harmony AND especially after Avatar Aang and Fire Lord Zuko did it together? Sucked ass. I looked at my dad a bit angry but I understand that we need to arrive at the South Pole as quick as we can.

"Dad, when I'm older, I want to live in Republic City.. or explore the world.. learn different cultures, visit where Aang and his friends adventure.. you know what I mean, right?" You said dreamily and looked at him, your eyes hopeful.
"I.. well, that sounds great sweetie, but it's a dangerous world out there and—"
"The world isn't as dangerous as the 100 year war dad, and I already know how to defend myself. And if I go out and explore the world, I can learn different types of fighting from the different nations! Doesn't that sound awsome?!" You excitedly clapped your hands together as your eyes sparkled, thinking of all the different things you can learn from the Fire, Earth and Air nation, or what's left of it.

Your father sighed, but slightly chuckled at the demeanor of his kid. "I know kiddo, but while you're here, why don't you help your old pops around and I'll consider teaching you new fighting styles, deal?" He stretched his hand out, waiting for your reply. You smiled widely and shook it, giggling a bit.
"Don't complain when I beat your ass, pops!"
"That's my girl, but language. I don't want your mom to argue with me for that."

You both chuckled and looked out in the horizon, and you shivered as you felt the coldness of the South hit your skin.
"Wait a sec, doesn't the Master Katara live in the South Pole?! Will I get to meet her?! And Chief Sokka too!"
"Well.. I don't know if Chief Sokka would be there since he has duties in Republic City, and I'm not sure Master Katara would be interested in people like us.."
"But dad, where from their Sister Tribe, have a little more hope? Anything can happen in the South Pole!" You tried encouraging him. But later on, you decided to leave him alone for a bit and went to your room, your shirshu laying on your neck snuggled up.

(Y/N) gently held her and placed Momo on her little bed, which was actually just a pillow and a blanket wrapped around it. She woke up and slightly whined, wanting to sleep besides you.
"Sorry Momo, but I want to try and sleep alone in bed, okay..?"
You said softly, petting her head and slumped in your bed, taking a deep sigh while hugging a pillow.

"A small nap won't hurt.."

———————————

A few days have passed, and honestly they were very uneventful. Besides that I've been teaching Momo how to recognize who is a good and a bad person depending on their scents, and also not to paralyze people immediately after meeting them. Other than that, I've also started training on my own, using a stick as if it was a sword and trying different styles to attack. Like fast and stealthy, being patient and many more. Either way, I couldn't help but think over different things, like what would I do in life, my family back home, and.. Noatak..

Basically, I was bored.

I looked around my room and through stuff, cleaning it and laying down again. It has been like that for the past hour, and once in a while I helped the crew around, but nothing much. I then looked through my bag and took out a small photo of me, Tarrlok and Noatak from when we were younger. I sighed. I miss this days.. what happen in that storm?

I shook my head, looking more deeper and seeing the betrothal necklace Noatak left me before leaving. I remember that day, it was so nice and lovely, and I couldn't help but blushed when I remember his face and how gentle he was. He told me to wear this until I was 16, and he promised me when we become older.. we would get married. Oh, how I wish that were true now.. but his probably somewhere out there, still alive, somehow. His strong, a simple storm like that wouldn't bring him down..

I looked at the well carved, blue rock strapped around the soft yet typical dark blue ribbon. You know what? Screw it. I then wore the necklace, although it was easier said than done. Damn I suck at doing ribbons from behind. But after a bit of struggling I finally manage to put the necklace on, and just in time since one of the crew members knocked on my door and told me we're arriving shortly to the South Pole.

I beamed, excited to know we're finally arriving. I was getting sick of the sea and even if it's not that different from the North Pole, that place is where the two most people she looked up to would be there. She has read the story of Aang and his friends a million times, which is the main reason she wants to travel the world. Will I get to meet one of their kids? It's sad I couldn't meet Avatar Aang, but I still feel hope on meeting the next avatar! The next one was water, right?

Just after I got ready quickly, I went outside with Momo and smiled widely as I saw the South Pole. Finally, after days we're here! But enough thinking, I'll try to convince my dad to let me explore around and see if I can't meet Master Katara! Even if I'm not a bender..
