You were cold, endlessly so. It was said to be the coldest day yet this year and well, you were freezing. Every few minutes you'd find your nose running or find yourself sneezing from the cold, yet there you were, standing in the snow watching Isagi and Nagi play. Now, why in the world would you do that if you're freezing cold? Oh, if only you knew.

The three of you were over at your place, working on a group project. It was a cold winter day and you weren't in any mood to walk over to the library so they had no choice but to visit you instead. The project was working rather smoothly for the most part. You were fairly productive while working but the three of you, collectively, took way too many breaks. As Nagi took out his phone for the 20th time today to start playing his game, Isagi opened your curtain to let in some sunlight, only to find fluffy puffs of white fill the scenery.

"Look," Isagi said a little surprised but mostly excited. "It's snowing!"

Nagi took one look at the snow and put his phone away, the two of them getting ready to head outside. At first, you were nothing but surprised— Nagi? Walking outside? Willingly?? Not to mention in this freezing cold, did he really like the snow that much? The two of them rushed down the stairs and you decided to follow them to at least the door.

But after a few seconds, you lost all interest in whatever they were trying to do, it was awfully cold just from standing by the doorway so closing the door was the only thing on your mind. As soon as you closed the door, you headed straight inside and ran back up to your room. Throwing yourself onto your bed, you snuck into your covers. You were always cold but today you were feeling painfully cold— you believed it was simply a super cold day and that was all there was to it, failing to notice the drowsiness in your body.

All you wanted to do was stay under your covers and fall asleep, but there was absolutely no way you were getting what you wanted when you had two high school boys over, playing with the snow in your backyard. A couple of minutes later you heard Isagi's voice yell your name from below.

"Hey, (L/n)!! Come down and play with us, the snow's perfect!" he said.

"No way. I'd rather finish the whole project myself if I have to go outside in this freezing cold." you called back immediately.

"It's not that cold!" Isagi replied. "And we need you to watch our snowball fight and count the number of times we manage to hit each other! This is very important!"

"Count it yourself!"

"We have to focus!"

"Focus on what??"

"On our snowball fight!"

"Oh, can you not count while you throw snow at each other, my gosh," you said.

You could practically see Isagi rolling his eyes from below, "Stop, it'd just be so helpful if you could just come down and count for us. You won't regret it the snow is pretty."

"Snow is always prettier from the inside!" you complained a little.

"Can you just come down?"

"Ugh, maybe," you said and you could almost hear a faint sigh from below. You groaned a little but forced yourself out of your bed. Shaking your head you grabbed your coat and scarf and got ready to go outside. Taking as much time as you possibly could to put on your boots, you finally stepped outside into the freezing cold around 7 minutes later.

"You're finally here! Okay, but perfect timing. We're about to start another one, could you keep count?" Isagi says and you let out a tired sigh.

"Yes, yes, but I'm going back in in 10 minutes max no matter what you say."

"Gotcha,"

So there you were. Standing in the cold, keeping the score of their snowball fight. Every time you found yourself sneezing or sniffling your nose, the more and more pointless and stupid it continued to feel. You pulled up your scarf so your mouth was covered a little, trying to keep in as much of the warmth as possible and by the time you noticed, you had found yourself staring at Nagi. He was so tall and so cute and oftentimes you'd find yourself thinking about him.

A giggle left your lips when you caught yourself staring at Nagi. The fact that you had forgotten about the cold that you spent the last half an hour complaining about was nothing but a little funny to you. You knew better than anyone that you liked him but you'd never admit it, let alone tell him— you were certain that he only thought of you as a friend and nothing more than that. Nagi looked over at you as he heard you giggle and your eyes met for a second, causing your face to flush a little red.

Confused, Nagi walked over to you and brought his hand to your forehead, making you blush a little harder, but to your surprise his eyes widened as soon as his hand came in contact with your forehead. A shiver went down your spine from just how cold his hand was.

"Nagi! You have to go inside, your hand's freezing!" you said.

"No," he replied as he opened the door and pulled you inside your house. "You're burning up."

"What...?" you questioned as he pulled off your coat and shoved you under your covers again.

"I'm sorry. I didn't notice you were sick," he said with apologetic eyes.

"Oh, don't worry, I didn't even notice it myself...." you replied quietly. You stayed quiet but you were starting to feel worse and worse, standing in the snow might have not been a smart idea. Your drowsiness must have shown on your face because Nagi put his cold hand on your forehead again a few moments later.

"That feels so good," you said. "But you're going to get sick too, Nagi."

"That's alright," he said and you looked over at him for a second, only to look away again.

The door to your room opened a minute or two later, revealing a snow-covered Isagi with a cold drink and some medicine for you.

"I'm so sorry!" Isagi said apologizing to you for dragging you out into the cold. "I didn't know you were sick, I shouldn't have forced you outside."

"It's okay, I didn't notice either," you said. "So sorry if I get you two sick too..."

"Wait, let me get you some ice," Isagi said standing up again, leaving the room. "You need to cool down..."

"(Y/n)," Nagi said and that startled you a little. He's calling you by your first name?

"...Seishirou," you said ever so quietly and you swear you saw a faint blush cover his cheeks.

"(Y/n), I like you," he said and you whipped your head around only to see an embarrassed Nagi, one you had never seen before. You slowly sat up and got off the bed to sit on the floor, in front of him.

"I like you too," you replied to him and the next thing you knew, his lips were on top of yours, giving you the shortest but sweetest kiss ever. A blush covered your cheeks and your heart was about to melt but you ended up giggling again. "You're going to get sick, Seishirou."

He hummed at the sound of his first name leaving your lips, your sweet voice ringing in his ears. "Like I said, that's alright," he said and closed his gap between you for another sweet kiss.
