Chapter One ~ Demigods

"Wizards?!" Seven demigods yelled after hearing one of the biggest secrets Hazel's patron had ever kept from them. The Seven had been called to the Big House after the Romans had arrived for the annual Alliance Feast, celebrating the peace between the two camps.

"Yes, wizards. They are mortals blessed by myself and are like my pets. More than ten years ago they had a war that started to tear their kind apart, and recently it fell completely just because of two silly boys that believed the wrong person."

"And you want us to fix the wizarding world?" Leo asked.

"No, I want you to not let it tear at all," Hecate told them.

"So you are going to send us back in time?" Percy wondered out loud.

"Yes, and alter your appearance to make you look younger. Nico Di Angelo is coming as well, I have already explained it to him. You will look like you are eleven years old again, as that is when most kids get their letters for Hogwarts."

Piper couldn't believe that once again, the seven (plus Nico) would be embarking on a world-saving quest. She and her friends deserve a break! She wanted to go back to the blissful first day at Camp Halfblood when she hadn't had quests to embark on, even though Drew had been the counselor at the time. Then she hadn't the pressure of being head of her cabin or a hero. As she zoned out, she heard Jason ask if any other demigods were coming.

"Not right now, but as the years go on others might join you. Hogwarts is protected by a lot of protection charms much like the camps. Any amount of demigods can go there without attracting attention from monsters. Any other questions?"

Leo raised his hand.

"How are wizards made?"

Hecate looked uncomfortable. "The wizarding community was created when I rewarded some mortals who had done favors for me. They started either breeding with each other or with non magical people. The wizards who bred with each other call themselves pure-bloods, and the others half-bloods. They kept on breeding, and adding to that I started sneezing and accidentally blessing other mortals or muggles. Soon the world became full of the magical community."

The demigods nodded, even though almost all of them put their attention elsewhere at the word breeding.

"Then the 'purebloods' grew to believe that they were superior to all others. Fast forward in time, hundreds of years after Hogwarts was built, and a young orphaned half-blood boy named Tom Riddle is visited by the most powerful wizard of his time, Albus Dumbledore, who also happens to be my son. Albus brought Tom to the wizarding world, and Tom had found one of the greatest joys of his life: magic. But soon Tom grew to have the same mindset as most of the pureblood families and began to kill muggles and torture muggle-borns. Soon you will find out what happened after that, and why the world needs your help once again. But for now, you will be transported to England, where you will pick up supplies."

"What are we going to get?" Percy said after they had traveled back on time. All the demigods had the appearance of eleven-year-olds, and many were not enjoying it.

Annabeth looked at the list Hecate had given them.

One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear

One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)
