Dark and Dirty

Think I am in a magic fairy tale,

Everything's going my way,

I'm afraid it's going to go down,

The high that I'm currently in;

My thoughts embedded in the forest tree-trunks,

As I wandered alone in the forest,

For alone is all I've ever been,

Around this forest wilderness;

Didn't think my friends would come out,

To meet and greet me,

Invite me to their wild parties,

Which leave me more desolate than the sea,

The sky looked in its brightest blue,

As if it understood my turmoil,

I blink back at it, to convey my quiet thank you,

I see so many shades of green, of nature and pristine,

It makes me think if I can ever be pure as thee,

I am the dirt of the woods, stamped and tumbled,

By footsteps of many, heavy and light,

Scarring me for a lifetime,

With their times of happiness and some of the despair,

I am heavy with all their weights of thoughts of me,

Of their words of betrayal and fake-ness,

I crave for some release oh so desperately,

But no one stops to glance at me,

For how do you think,

The ground got so dark and dirty?
