~at Dabi's apartment

It didn't sit right with him how he acted with you earlier, he was still on edge from overthinking

He grabbed the pills from the couch and examined them, tracing over the bottle he started thinking of last night. How careful you were with him, not once showing a sign of annoyance. You were calm... and gentle. Even this morning, you were your usual caring self

His thoughts were interrupted by the buzzing of his phone. Tomura had sent him a text telling him to go look for more recruits for the league

He placed the pill bottle back on the couch, grabbed his coat and headed out the door

As he opened the door his eyes immediately landed on the sandwich bag on the floor

"Isn't this [y/n]'s?" He muttered

He bent down and picked up the container with the sanwhich up from the floor

"Dollface is always leaving her food behind, and then blames me when I eat it" he scoffed

His lips curved into a smile, "Well now I have an excuse to see her"

"Just answer the question [y/n]" the man who had taken you uttered

"No"

"Come onnn"

"No"

"I'll kill you"

"No you won't"

"No I won't"
"But still just tell me"

"FINE"

"But first take off the plague mask. It's creepy" you said grabbing a toast from your plate

Kai Chisaki, or "Overhaul" had taken you to a breakfast diner to talk to you. Instead of coming up to you like a normal human being, he had you snatched like some sort of kidnapper

You and Kai went way back. You had met him a few years ago on the streets, back when you and Stain had recently lost your parents. He was also an orphan back then, both of you were small and naive so you ended up telling him your past. However one day he must've gotten adopted or something because you never saw him again

Until today

Overhaul took off his plague mask and under it he was wearing another black mask

"Really?" you mock raising an eyebrow

"Now answer the question" he said

"Yes I can create a drug for destroying quirks" you said biting on the piece of toast

"Is that so..." Overhaul narrowed his eyes at you

"But I won't" you continued munching on the toast

"And why not?" He asked slightly annoyed

"It has too many risks"

He hummed

"You'll need the biological material of someone for it"

You continued eating when Kai suddenly spoke,

"I think I already have someone"

"Hm?"

"She's a girl. I was chosen to look after her. And I think she'll be perfect for the drug" he said

Setting down the toast on the plate you focus your attention on Overhaul

"Ok but even if I was able to create this vaccine, you know you can't use it?" You asked

"Why do you say that?" He asked his eyes focusing on you

"It'll cause havoc. If you were to take people's quirk, you'll be removing a piece of them. It's morally wrong" you said stirring your coffee with a spoon

"How can you say that when you're quirkless?" Kai glared at you

You shrugged your shoulders "I've never really cared I guess. Been too busy with school, work, and-"

"Are you sleeping with someone?" he interrupted you mid-sentence

Your eyes grew wide and you started coughing, choking on the piece of toast

"Wh-what?" You sputtered reaching over to grab a glass of water but only resulting in knocking it over and spilling it all over the table

Even though the mask was covering his mouth. You notice the corner of his eyes crinkle, you could tell he was smiling

"You said you were 'too busy'. Don't tell me Stain's baby sister is already having one night stands" he teased

"KAI SHUT UP NO IM NOT" you yelled

"Before I cough on you" you muttered under your breath

Kai quickly stopped laughing and crossed his arms

"You wouldn't dare"

"Try me you germaphobe" you said sticking out your tongue

You then grabbed a napkin and started cleaning up the table from the spilled water

"I won't help you Kai. Not on this" you muttered

Kai scoffed and put on his plague mask as he stood up

"We'll see about that, I'll see you around [y/n]" Kai said putting his plague mask back on and standing up

Unknown to the both of you, a pair of eyes were watching your every move
