Am I but a ghost of your past?
Am I but a memory not bound to last?
Is our love nothing but a tragedy?
Or is your heart full of apathy?
How can you tell you love me
When all you do is throw my heart away?
How can you be so warm to touch
But cold inside your heart?
Why is our distance so close
Yet our gap seems miles away, oh, farther it goes?
I long to hold you without restriction
I long to love you and feel your emotion
But as much as I am a fire
You're naught but an ice that I unfortunately admire
Loving you is like worshipping a statue
Emotionless, beautiful, immobile; very much like you
But you can't love me when you keep on ignoring me
You can't love me when you treat me like a passing fancy
For I can very much feel
I get hurt and maybe the pain will never heal
Please, I beg you, tell me what really is on your mind
Stop treating our status as undefined
For I cannot forever be a fool
I need to walk with my heart as a whole
For I cannot leave with a missing piece
In you, it might only end up as a waste
