Lauren's POV

- I didn't used to drink. In fact, all I had were those glasses of wine between meals, or perhaps, if I was stressed, a little bit of whiskey and perhaps a cigarette. And that's how I was now, leaning on the edge of my office desk, a glass of whiskey in my hand. I twirled the glass a little, watching the orange-gold-brown liquid stick to the glass and return to its place, but I didn't even have time to think about it.

- I looked once more at the papers on the table and tilted my head, taking a drink from the glass, which went down my throat feeling a burning sensation, but at that moment I did not care.

- "Miss Jauregui?" I heard the voice of the new secretary at the door and I turned around with one hand resting on the table, looking at her in a serious and impassive way. "Do you have any solution?" She asked. "No." I answered. I clenched my jaw feeling angry about the fact that I couldn't find a way to solve this issue and I went back to look at the city through the window. It was nighttime, and the lights of the buildings were lighting up the city, thus creating an effect that caused you to lose yourself in them.

- In one gulp I finished the glass, took the bottle and poured another glass. How to save millions of dollars without any loss? That was the question I could not answer. So far, everything was going well. The income was abundant and even more the benefits, without detracting from customers. But we had reached a point where debts were eating up the benefits. We had almost no profit margin.

- "May I come in?" A voice made me wake up from my thoughts. I looked up with the glass in my hand and smiled when I saw Camila, I smiled for the first time all day.

- "You may." I answered leaving the glass on the table. I approached her and I hugged her. Her hands rubbed my back and my face was hidden in the crook of her neck, seeking some warmth.

- "Hey, are you okay, honey?" She separated us and cupped my face in her hands and I nodded with a smile.

- "I'm just a little frustrated from work." Camila wrapped her arms around my neck and looked at the papers with a frown.

- "I don't understand anything." She laughed slightly and looked at me biting her lip. "What do you have to do?" She asked. "I have to figure out a solution to stop losing money and start making a profit." I said while rubbing my face with my hands and sighing, pressing my temples with my fingers. "From where do you buy vegetables, meats, and fruits?" Camila frowned and looked at the papers.

- "A company." I said showing her the paper of food, kilos and price listed on it.

- "Why don't you buy them directly from farmers and ranchers? They charge very little for everything, and just if you pay them a little more than multinational companies will sell it to you directly." I looked at Camila again, unable to believe what she had just said.

- "God! Of course! You're a genius!" I said getting up from the chair, leaving Camila sitting there. I picked up the phone and dialed the number. "Hey, I'm Lauren. You have to break the contract with the company. That sells us meat and vegetables." I moved around the office with my cell phone in hand, while I watched Camila play with one of the pens, which although she didn't know it could cost around 400 hundred dollars. "I know. Yes, I know. But we have to." I sighed turning my gaze back to Camila, who was looking at the office that was quite large. "We will, because I am the owner of this. And it will be done because I know that things will work out well. Do you have a boss? Well, I'm the boss of your boss, and of your boss's boss. And of the boss, of your boss's boss. So cancel the fucking contract and pay whatever you need to with the company, now." Camila was still playing with the pen. "Thank you." I said
